What is the best way to utilize the Coldest Snap talent?
Do I send out the second frozen orb immediately? Or do I hold it until the first one fades?

Happy to be corrected, but my understanding is: Orb > Blizzard > CmS > immediately CoC > Orb > CmS> Blizzard? I think the 2nd Blizz/CmS can be swapped but the aim is to get the instant-cast Blizzard out as soon as you can.
Edit: Don’t IN in that rotation. If CoC is on CD though, you can use IN at range or Nova in melee to shatter CmS/GS (but you obviously won’t get the reset on Orb/CmS).
orb > blizz > (i pop icy veins and flurry here) > cms > coc > cms > orb > blizz. you just want to make sure both cocs are w/in your flurry window. (shatter?) youre going to munch FoF procs during these because of glacial spike and double orb, its just part of it.
The cone of cold applies winters chill, so the flurry is unnecessary. The flurry only applies winters chill to one mob anyway which is not valuable in an AOE situation since it only shatters CMS against 1 target.
There is no concession for range, it is simply always orb → blizz → cms (balefire branch here) → coc → orb → cms → blizz
You send it, you can have multiple frozen orbs active.
Sorry, that part was less about replacing CoC with IN, and more about when CoC was on CD to imply that IN can be used to shatter CmS without needing to be in melee range. I’ve had about 8 hours sleep in 2 days so my brain doesn’t do words good.
