Frost or Unholy

Which one and why is it better than the other?

I’ve got one leveled to about 46 in the last but I’m boosting one and curious.

I’ve only played a little of Frost.

if you want to pvp dont touch frost

Don’t bother with Frost in pvp. You’re going to suffer, and not well.

The spec you have the most fun with.
Both are viable for any PVE content you do.

Unholy, because unholy

Frost is fun but can’t go wrong with unholy in any form of content. Its a lot more versatile.

even unholy is struggling lately, the armor and DS nerfs really hit hard. i’ve been playing blood for a bit and it honestly feels fun, not that great in arena at high mmr, but bgs and wpvp it feels like this is how we are supposed to be, not a kiting fragile glass cannon.

I agree, the January nerf practically finished the class. I’m just speaking out of the 2 options available.

I enjoy the play style of unholy more and their pve damage is about the same.

In pve neither is better, but they are very different.

Frost is a bit simpler. Huge damage with cooldowns up, very little damage when they aren’t.

Unholy has a lot of minions- either you like that or you don’t. Unholy also has more to keep track of and has a bit more of a set up on the pull.

Frost is better at smaller packs and cleave type situations while unholy is better at larger pulls.

In pve the survivability for both is very high and equal between the two because it all comes from the class tree they both have access to.

Frost is less versatile because two of its capstones are weapon specific (Breath of Sindy for dual wield and Obliteration for 2h), while unholy uses one weapon type only and thus can change their build much more freely.

Frost sucks in pvp. Unholy isn’t great, but its better than frost.

Frost is more “Hulk smash” while unholy is much more calculating.
