What exactly are frost mages supposed to discover in season of “discovery” ?
How unplayable frost is and to respec? Lol? What a joke. Frost mages do less dps then every single tank spec.
Why does every other underperforming class get massive buffs (moonkin, shadow priest, ele shaman, rogue, enh, melee hunter, resto druid, etc) but frost mages have been doing HALF the dps of literally EVERY OTHER SPEC(INCLUDING TANKS) and no changes at all? What a joke.

Don;'t even get me started on the new runes LMAO spellfrost bolt hits for literally the same as a scorch - no reason to ever press it.
While mutilate gets benefit from backstab talents (a million extra crit perfect) these new mage runes spellfrost/frostfire bolts don’t get any benefit from talents (not that it would even help, they are terrible anyway need a 2-300% dmg buff to consider even using)
In b4 “just respec fire” Sure just respec fire, except literally every single other class with multiple specs underperforming get them all buffed except frost mage. Who at blizzard did frost mages hurt exactly?
Ice Lance needs its damage doubled to even consider playing it.
Rogue got massive buffs and pvp only runes (shadowstep/range stun/range slow) … frost mages got … a rune that does literally 50 damage at lvl 40 ? That wouldnt even be good at lvl 10.
I’ve played frost mage since the beginning. Literally rolled my first frost mage 11/23/04. I don’t want them to buff frost dps. If you want to dps spec fire. Here’s what I want: If frost is the lowest DPS, it should be the best AOE kiter. Give us a run that applies the hunter frost trap effect to the ground under blizzard, or improves the slow, or something.
Why not just delete the frost talent tree all together then? Melee hunter is top dps anyway … would be nice if frost mage got the same treatment other underperforming specs did.
Not asking for much … 50% increase to icelace damage and maybe 2-300% on spellfrost (it unironically hits for 150 … has to be a bug but frost mage is so bad no one is even playing or talking about it)
Frost mages are pvp/questing/farming spec. Arms warriors and Sub rogues are in the same boat… wowlogs shows warriors/rogues/warlocks as “dps warrior/rogue/warlock” while splitting mages into frost and fire despite both being a caster dps with no difference in gear for whatever reason
OP, I feel your pain brother and I hope you see some kind of buff. Just wanted to say I love your posting style and found all of this absolutely hilarious (not in a mean way) as unintentional as I’m sure it was.
Frost is entirely unplayable in pvp lol … has to be the worst spec. Ice barrier is like 400 hp … you have ~1800 hp if you are stacking stam (full phase 2 pvp bis) … burst combos are 2500+ … DO THE MATH GUYS
You are still getting 1 shot with ice barrier, and ontop of that it also takes you 30 globals with your shiny new ability (trashlance) to even make some one use a cooldown

what’s hilarious is busted OP balance druid is GETTING BUFFED next patch. i swear dude. frost mage has been the worst pve spec for two phases and is actually F tier PvP spec. SoD balancing team is awful
The obvious reasoning I can come up with is that Fire and Arcane are great or good right now, and while Frost has low STDPS, it’s still amazing for farming and soloing elites… The balance team may think that Mage has enough overall strengths that they can put Frost aside for the moment.
To be clear, I don’t necessarily agree. Being bad in both “competitive” PvP and PvE isn’t fun.
I’m not one of the mile a minute spammers selling dungeon carries on my mage, but I do run for guildies and Frost is used for dungeon farming literally only for ice block as a grouping tool. Most of the pulls, if not all, are capable of dying without this tool, it just makes it so you can do more at once in a nice group, which is important for anyone who wants to try to sell runs. Nobody wants to by slow run, so you have to just use whatever you can to pull more at once.
Imp Blizzard is a handy tool that comes with the build for free, but wise use of NPC pathing makes it just an extra, not a necessity.
