If i’m stuck in a 1 vs 1, I don’t think there’s a single class that can I reliably solo if the player is decent. Maybe rogues sometimes.

This is the only class you think you can beat? Lmao. Rogues are prob one of the most difficult ones.
For frost I don’t have much experience as I mainly do arcane when I anticipate 1v1ing, but I think a warrior, paladin, shaman, maybe hunter.

They’re by far the easiest. It often feels like they’re countered by just a single Ice Block
Only the bad ones. If you ice block the opener they will just run and los then restealth and reopen. Or if you cancel they will vanish and restart, blind and restart, cloak and kill you because you just used your major defensive or something else.

Well, yeah. That’s for sure. I think I mostly meant in some battleground fight type of situation. I certainly don’t consider rogues as high of a threat as warriors or paladins.
It feels like warriors are designed to absolutely destroy frost mages. lol
Arms is pretty strong right now.
I’m really hoping Memory of the triune ward is going to help me a bit with survival. The effect looks kind of sweet too. But i’ll have to wait for next week

I can facetank a full MM hunter rotation as Necrolord Frost w/ Slick Ice Legendary Power and kill him before he kills me. I don’t think I can solo anything else unless their abilities are on cooldown.
When 2 people of the same skill play against each other, mages really aren’t a good 1v1 class.

I disagree. Sub rogues are tbe easiest 1v1 imo. Even pre triune.
With a pillar, I feel like I can consistently beat mm, rogues, warriors, and average rets. Havent had triune long enough but I feel like 1v1, most classes will be beatable as frost. I despise shimmer tho so if you are running that, prob much weaker 1v1
Disagree- this expansion giving back self heals and a solid barrier change this up a lot. Mages are sleepers imo

It’s so crazy reading this, and sad. As someone who played Frost Mage from TBC through MoP before quitting retail… I can assure you the opposite used to be true. We used to hard-counter Warriors, and we were pretty darn strong against all melee really.
Frost Mages being a bad 1v1 class is just mind boggling to me. We were once one of the greatest 1v1 duelists in the game, if not the greatest.

If you play frost in PvP right now, you will get sh**t on over and over. It’s not a user error, the class is just awful because all other classes cry on the forums each expansion about frost - EVERY TIME, until they are nerfed into the ground. The same classes that want to take attention off how bullsh*t their class is currently (looking at you MM, balance, unholy, paladins in general)…they nerfed frost based on the numbers at the END of an expansion, that means whenever we start a new expansion (shadowlands), those nerfs will feel 100x worse because we don’t have our caps

What’s a good Endurance conduit for 1v1? Is the ice block heal good? Or the barrier heal?
Frost was originally supposed to counter warriors. Im not sure what expansion that philosophy changed

Ice block heal is probably the best for battlegrounds. I really love it.
