Does anyone have a good guide for the frost mage mage tower. I’ve done all the classes except priest and mage at this point. This one seems pretty difficult.
Huh???
Isn’t the Frost Mage one of the “easy mode” ones? When it first came back in 2021 people were knocking that one out in like less than < 10 wipes
From what I remember, boss is constantly slowed by Frozen Orbs/Blizzards/etc and the challenge just falls over with barely trying
Don’t think that’s the case now, its pretty tightly tuned
Hmmmm, interesting
Maybe the talent tree changes in DF somehow made it more difficult or something, because I clearly remember it being one of the easy Mage Towers
Meanwhile, people are saying Guardian Druid challenge is faceroll/much easier now. But back then it took people like 200-300 wipes to get it down
Frost mage is about controlling Karam while doing damage, but not over committing. In other words, you wanna try to kill Karam and force phase shift while still having timewarp and all of your major CD’s so you can burn Raest. The most important part is the first burn phase. You wanna burn Raest down as quickly as possible with as little going on.
The other thing too is that people back then used water ele to absorb the runes which spawned things from beyond. So you have to kite Karam, while AoE’ing down adds, kicking and focusing hands, and using your water ele via pet placement action button and putting him on the center of the oncoming rune so it won’t spawn in Thing from Beyond.
Yeah, doing this all pretty well. Just getting overwhelmed at about 30%/ Maybe my dps just isnt good enough
Post on the toon running it. Then help with specc can be offered. Going back to legion when these originally came out it was all about specc and having and using the right talents. I remember using speccs i wouldnt use in any other content.o
Was finally able to do this by using the blast wave talent and blowing all my cd’s on the raest only phases. Also making sure to get as many adds down with my blizzard to have a clean working space. GL to others who attempt this!
