What is the new BIS Embelishments for a Frost mage now that 10.1.5 is live?

I am currently rocking a 2PC azureweave set, but that was 10.1.0

I think you were supposed to have been rocking two shadowflame pieces since 10.1

I know when I was doing research pre 10.1 double shadowflame was bis for arcane and fire. Didn’t really check frost as I don’t play it unless GS is strong.

I know before patch belt/boots were the ideal slots.

This doesn’t count as an embellishment so you can use that and two others.

I may go one ShadowFlame patch and also make myself a Spore Cloak.

Sort of frees things up not being trapped with an Azure 2pc.

Ideally you want all three. Double shadowflame for raid and one shadowflame and sporecloak for keys.

I’m stylishly wearing a shadowflame and the lariat. I did have the arcane shoulders at one point but swapped over. Unless something new comes out with the next tier, I’ll probably stick to that. Realistically there’s so little difference between them, that only those really pushing Mythic raids hard are going to notice the difference.

Thats actually untrue. Lariat requires 6 gems to even be somewhat competitive with double shadowflame

well, i don’t have more crafted gear that i can upgrade with embelishments anyway. I’m a jewelcrafter so neck and one ring - food and >90% buff. And hourglass ring can’t be upgraded.

Good thing I have 6 gem slots then, and another one to come next week when the vault gives me garbage for the 5th week in a row. Of note, a 437 piece with shadowflame and a 437 arcane shoulders (or was it a helm?) was a 0.5% dps difference. Unless you’re swimming in crafted mats and gold, and pushing Mythic prog early (this late in the tier it means nothing) then the difference is so negligible that most players won’t notice any difference. Heck, a gem slot or even swapping a few gems to better stats will make a bigger difference.
