So I got level 22 and switched from single target to AOE talents. It’s not working for me at all. I have found a spot that has level 19 mobs with no casters. I can get them rounded up and frozen just fine. The problem is, I can’t kill them before going oom. I can’t even come close. I’m getting them around half health then I’m oom and die. I have the exact same talents as Jokerd at level 22. Only difference is I’m human rather than gnome. What am I doing wrong?
Increase your gear, additionall you need the 3 points in improved blizzard.
Found the problem. I’m not biased or anything.

Actually I believe you only want 2 pts, or else the slow from Blizzard won’t be overwritten by the slow from Cone of Cold, which lasts longer.

You need to have enough mana to cast 3 blizzards + 2 nova’s. Cast first nova, then run far away that you can get off two blizzards, then when they get to you nova again, then last blizz to finish them off.

If you’re having problems with mana, are you pulling mobs of similar level to you? Try a lower level mob. Are you using mana crystals? Are you wasting mana on AEs? There’s so much that could be going on
Correct. 2 points will let your CoC slow, which w/ perma is 11 secs, instead of a Blizzard slow for only 4 secs.
Don’t spec in Frostbite, at all, reduces clumping abilities.
AoE farming before 26-28 will usually require mana potions and very well executed pulls. I didn’t start til 28 and it’s much easier.

Jokerd had 3 points in Imp Blizzard. Maybe I need to stop blinking after Nova? I don’t know. I went to switch back to single target and it costs 5 gold and I only have 2!
You can’t blink at all. You don’t have enough mana atm. Just nova them and run, 8 seconds is enough time to get space. Make sure you aren’t backpedaling it’s slower.
Ok I’ll cut the blinking out and see how it goes.
I would probably still blink if you get dazed honestly, since that cuts your effective distance in half.
You probably need to use mana potions and as others have said, dont use blink it’s way to much mana. I would also stick with 3/3 imp blizzard as cone of cold doesnt get good enough until you talent into it.
Remember, Jokerd exploited layer hopping bugs and should be banned.

Ok I have it pretty much down now at level 24. Still not sure I like it though. Hard to find places to go and I’m not sure if it’s really much faster than single target questing. It is kinda fun though.
