Can anyone confirm that the new transmog drops from the Frost Lord (the 2 staves, polearms and the crown) can only drop from the 1st kill of the day per character or per account?
Most of the new holiday stuff has been per account but I couldn’t find any confirmation about the one.
You know… another approach is to do something like this:
If Blizzard wants you to do the event at least 7 times - then make it such that you get 1 of the 7 items randomly on the first attempt each day you run. And no dupes. It’s like you get something from the grab bag and once you got it, it’s gone for you. (And if it’s 5 items, that’s fine too - whatever the number is)
I like this more because:
It’s a way to make the RNG not suck so bad for a limited time event.
We’re changing the way the loot system for the holiday boss drops work. We have increased drop rates significantly for the first boss kill on a single account. Only the first attempt on a single Battle.net account will be eligible to receive the item drop, however. For each subsequent daily attempt on the boss with a single Battle.net account, the chance for the item to drop will increase and continues to accumulate for each failed attempt. This change will allow players to spend less time working to earn a specific dropped item while providing an increasing opportunity to get that item during the holiday.
So, the first drop per account has an increased chance to drop, subsequent daily kills still have a chance, but a lower.
Wowhead expressly states that you have one chance per account per day on the holiday guide.
It states:
The following can only drop on your first attempt of the day, account-wide. There is an increasing chance for a drop each new day that you defeat the boss.
Transmog items are inside the satchel. Since that shows up on other characters I wouldn’t be shocked to find that there’s a chance of getting multiple in a day.
Don’t bet on it being a worthwhile drop chance after the first though.
