not really… but people get cranky when they don’t have the appearance, and it drops for characters which can’t equip it

It’s not. What you do with your own time is entirely up to you to decide. Transmog and mount farming are basically my endgame.

It’s not about being bored, but you have like 2 weeks per holiday queue to farm whatever it is that drops, and in this case since you seem to be able to farm it on level 20 characters than sure, why not take advantage.
Some people have been farming it on alts daily since it came out and still have nothing to show for it.
