dated question I know, but been catching up on some stuff before prepatch. I cant find any recent inputs but how do I get the hidden frostfire appearance? i saw something bout a quest called memories of ebonchill and ghosts you have to talk to. others say just take the portals you unlock from order hall. if that is the case is it daily? or can i just keep taking portals till it brings me to the spot?
You have to have the portal ability unlocked in your class hall and then you just go to your class hall every day until you get a chat message saying you hear a crackling sound. Then take a portal and you’ll be dumped into frostfire ridge. Run forward and pick up the appearance.

It used to have bad luck protection where every day it didn’t proc it would have a higher proc chance but I don’t know if it still does. Good luck at any rate shouldn’t take too long to get. If you really want a hidden appearance, unlocking a hidden appearance color on a different legendary used to unlock all hidden appearance colors so if you have the arcane or fire legendary you can unlock an alt color for them and see if that gives you the frost one too.
I actually missed my first chance at that appearance. I had no idea what the crackling noise was. The second time it happened, I was able to get the Frostfire appearance.
