A class that already is extremely immobile, now turns into a parlayzed dude RP walking out of his wheelchair on pillar of frost? How am I supposed to catch mages, evokers, etc???
Blizzard’s solution to balancing an immobile class was to paralyze them fully. Who made this change???
I’ve been playing DK since WOTLK launch. Right now, any lobby against melee is a W, and any lobby against casters is a L. This is the most scripted, lazy, cheesy arena season I HAVE EVER PLAYED.
Yeah. But at least you can cheese your way to a decent rating in blitz with the new talent at least lol
And get gutted in solo shuffle lol…
I just checked frosts stats in shuffle and 3v3 and they’re pretty rough lol. You can always drop the talent and play the 45 second go if you can stomach being a bit out of the meta.
I think it’s time to just level a furry warrior soon. Blizzard has legit cut our legs off in the new patch. IDK how they thought I was going to ever kill an evoker.

I’ve been complaining about this for a while. DKs in general need to he modernized, Frost in particular. I wrote a whole thing about how my mage deals more damage, is more mobile, has better self healing and damage mitigation all while being able to perpetually kite at a distance with slow and snares.
Turn Frost and DKs in general into a modern melee mid range caster class like they were originally envisioned.
-Massively Buff Howling Blast baseline, allow procs of Rime to stack. This would both make howling blast worth casting in situations when enemies are out of range. Rime should give a minor damage buff, but still deal more damage than it currently does. The advantages of Rime is already only that it allow you to cast something when you run out of runes to Obliterate and Runic power.
Running out of runes is unecceptable in 2025, we already deal poor damage even when we have full runes. Stacking up Rime to to like 4 would give us enough time to recover so we aren’t stuck auto attacking like the outdated sadness we are.
-Bring back Death Siphon, 2 charges, so we can heal at range instead of just getting gunned down by every range spec while we slowly waddle to our deaths unable to even touch them with a death strike to heal…
-Turn Remoreseless Winter into our version Death and Decay. Allow it to give us a cleave Obliterate while it’s active, give us 2 charges. Nerf the cleave in PVP since this is the only aspect of Frost that is currently faulting the numbers in group pvp.
-Allow Crit Chance to increase the damage of Killing Machine procs and Frost scythe. Our entire spec runs on crit, which forces us to invest all our points into a stat that then doesn’t scale with the very proc we require it for. Crit is also greatly nerfed in PVP which makes our mechanics even more punishing.
-Rider of the Apolalypse Undeath stacks should also stack from Howling Blast instead of just Obliterate since we run out of runes too quickly compared to Unholy who can just spam Clawing Shadows.
These are a few pet leaves but it’s a start towards modernizing the class.

Not to mention its bad ideas. Massively buffing Howling Blast just brings back Masterfrost where you dont use Obliterate outside of KM procs and most people hated Masterfrost and wanted it gone, thats why the damage was put into Rime.
Death Siphon would just delay the inevitable and not actually fix anything.
Turning RW into what is used for cleaving strikes is bad as well. Thats been touched on multiple times of why its bad. People ignored it, and still think its a good idea. Its not. Not to mention all these sources of cleave is why Frosts ST is so poor.
Allowing crit to scale the damage of Obliterate with KM, and Frostscythe, will just bring about a nerf to those abilities to keep them in line. Crit is still an extremely powerful stat without this interaction.
If you are having trouble with runes in 2025, thats a you problem.
What’s your problem? This is a class discussion forum and people want to discuss the class. Who are you to tell people what they can and can’t post? You don’t play the game and you clearly have no valuable information to offer besides what you hear other people talking about. The worst part about trolls is there is so much 
posting to the point that any good faith discussion about how to fix the class gets completely lost in the noise. The in game suggestion function is too limited in charaters for long form suggestions, which leave only the forums where the miserable ones “live.”
I assume devs use AI to skim the forums, which means that the odds of any useful feedback getting back to them is completely sabotaged by the trolls.
It’s pathetic. I hope he’s just a master troll and we’re all falling for his gimmick but I have a feeling he’s serious. Who spends their free time trying to police and tear people down a video game forum? Most of us here just love the class and want to see it be improved. Dude’s rotten to the core.
The most eye rolling part is the arrogance of having zero experience playing current Frost PVP, still wearing dragonflight gear while talking down to actual pvp players about pvp problems.

RW bringing cleaving strikes would be reserved to PoF windows. It brings in more problems with playing the spec than it would solve.
You do know pointing out flaws is telling you to make a better solution right? Its really not hard to find flaws in your suggestions. Howling Blast being massively buffed would be a detriment to your playstyle. You would be using it in replacement of Obliterate, and then when you have a KM proc, you have no runes to actually use Obliterate. There is a reason why Howling Blasts damage was put into Rime, to kill this type of playstyle. It was to kill the degenerate gameplay of not being able to play the spec as intended.
This is just insanity.
