Frost DK ST damage really low at the moment?

Hello everyone. So I have gotten my DK decently geared but I cannot seem to do great ST damage on him. AOE I am averaging a decent 80-100k and sometimes even 200k if my frostwyrm crits and I get lots of oblit cleaves. But for ST I am only averaging 40k more or less. 50-60k if the boss has some adds that I am able to cleave. My evoker can easily do 60-70k with three simple buttons. Is Frost DK really weak on ST damage atm or just wrong rotations?

I’ll keep my eye on this one to see how the experts respond cause I’m curious.

You might want to provide the experts with the build you’re specifically referring to as there’s several for frost - 1H or 2H Oblit or BoS.

2h FDK single target is weak. 10.0.7 should improve things quite a bit.

yea hoping they add more to improve frost in 10.0.7. I just did AA and managed to do 50k in bird boss and 80k on tree boss (cuz of aoe haha)

Yeah the biggest issue is outside of Pillars, we don’t really have any sustained DPS.

So we do well during Pillars and forced KM procs, and then out DPS tanks. Sure we get a few natural KM procs, and can reduce Pillars down to about 30 seconds
but yeah, the feels bad of ST outside of those windows.

Cawrth is a fun boss. Open with pillars window and then save Pillars + ERW + FWF for that orb stun and damage increase :+1:

2h ST is looking strong in 10.0.7

One of the DK theory crafters posted this yesterday.

2H is gaining a ton by not wasting as many KM procs and the extra talents

Yeah, 2h Oblit damage is really low on ST compared to most classes. But like ppl said here, we are gaining 2 extra talents to spend with 10.0.7 so we could take 2 points on enduring strength, that would help our dmg outside CDs. Also the 2stack on KM would do wonders on not wasting KM during pillars and in consequence have faster pillars and longer Enduring Strength buffs.

it may be earlier some say april or so other say june or later. it may even be in may prolly.
blizzard watch article suggests March 21

till they say we can only speculate right now

I expect late March to early April. June/July seems far more likely for 10.1
