Frost DK or Enh Sham?

'Been fiddling around with both for a while, getting a jist of how each plays and I’m quite torn! (They actually play basically the same…)

Not using Breath of Sindragosa and using Icecap instead certainly makes the class feel a good bit better (imo) for Frost DK. But, the lack of a purge is a little rough in those ‘monkaS keystones’.

Enh shaman is all fun and stuff with some really nice utility, but they do feel really lackluster in dmg reduction / self-healing, despite having a self heal.

I do enjoy off-tanking a lot, unfortunately need various weapons but!
I do like healing too, but tanking probably more.

I play both enh/frost, more unholy than frost tho. And I find them both to be fun, it really just depends on what your focus is, m+, raiding, random bg pvp, or rated pvp. It’ll probably be easier to get higher up in any of those activities with FDK. You’ll potentially have a hard time getting groups for m+ as enh, but if you have a good guild or friends that shouldn’t be an issue. Pvp as enh can be pretty rough as well with the lack of defensives, but fury of air/r3 lucid dreams set up can help. Without writing a book, they’re both fun with each having different utility brez/selfrez, purge/grip, and both having solid cleave and interrupts. Enhancement also has earth ele and lust. You also get access to a ranged dps spec with ele which can be lots of fun too. They’re both enjoyable.

I have enjoyed more Frost DK than Enh Shaman.

Enh is just too squishy in pvp to have fun. You have to out gear your opponents by 10 ilvls to have a chance because there’s just way too much on the Enh shaman based on proc lucks and build ups.

By the time you’ve gotten your SS and other boosts to proc you’ve been kited to high heaven and are almost dead.

In all honesty they need to un-nerf Healing Surge for Enh to have a chance.
