Frost DK’s are so damn strong, like, he’s at least doing double the damage I was doing as DH, which was buffed (and the other classes playing arena, rogue and frost mage) and I was able to get most of my beams, sigils and blade dances. Not saying I’m the best, but before the patch, normally DKs were doing 400-500k dps (700k bursting)
Even the guy who was playing DK admitted it was broken.
It was literally doing 1.5M DPS with Remorseless winter (which I just checked on Details, and it has been consistently 45% + of his entire DPS, sometimes it was up to 65%).
Yes, I’ve used “rain from above” with my DH, but even with the full duration of my spell, whenever I was getting down, Remorseless winter was still up and doing ridiculous amount of damage even in a few seconds.
And even running away from It, but I got pulled in several times lol.
Regardless of kiting or not, a spell that does 50% of your damage in the entire arena, is definitely broken.
DH for example, I’m consistently doing 14-18% with death sweep, 15-17% with Beam, 10% demon surge.
You know what I mean.
Imagine if my Beam was so Op doing 50% of the damage. I would 1 shot people without them having time to use their defensives.
Rip lol, hopefully they’ll address it, their cc is pretty obnoxious with the root thing they got to. Mind you even ww monks are 1 shotting people with slicing winds lol this games a mess until we see what our gear is like and then some tuning.
The new talent is comically op and further pushes frost dk into a one minute meme spec. It absolutely stomps noobs while being pretty much junk vs experienced players that know how to counter it. I often find myself having to cancel pillar of frost a couple seconds into my go because everyone just ran out of range.
It’s not fun to play with and it’s definitely not fun to play against. IMO they gotta massively nerf its damage and remove the downsides to it so that its just a decent damage bump during pillar.
This was on warlock lol. But yea. On DH put some speed enchants on. Makes it a bit easier to kite. There are things you can do. Like slows make them waste trinkets by stunning or banishing or fearing the dk. DH has a lot of utility to stop his go. He has it about once per minute. Then a mini go as well.
It will get nerfed but I have a bad feeling they’re going to keep this as the new meta pvp talent for frost, which sucks if you don’t like gimmicky one shot playstyles.
We needed less bursty one-shot gameplay, not more. I really hope they drastically change the talent but I’m not holding my breath.
It rewards cooldown spamming during pillar which feels terrible. Mash everything you got to keep enemies near you, then waddle around doing almost nothing until your next go.
Not having a problem with it on any of my chars tbh. Honestly seems like a newb killer trap talent that better players can counter. Which is what makes it a stupid addition from my perspective.
