There are many better, smarter ways to make RP consumption during Obliteration windows “feel better” that don’t result in putting more damage into Pillar windows, removing Rime entirely from the window outside of very unlucky circumstances, and would benefit Obliteration/Frost as a whole and not just inside Pillar.
After saying “We have plans to address resource generation”, they decided to backtrack on that and go with another band-aid fix.
This is very true. The more time I spend going over the tree and messing around on frost the more I think all of the random rune refund procs tied to abilities need to be removed from the tree. Baseline regen for spending RP is all it should be.
That isnt the reason why people suggested this. Unleashed Frenzy and Icy Talons arent hard to keep up. Its like keeping up your diseases of old.
Up to par.
Heres the thing, DK in wrath was an experiment (devs admitted it) in that they were allowing all specs to do either dps or tank to see if it would increase the tanking population though allowing people to play the spec they liked the most. It didnt happen. In this case, yes Blood dps should have been removed and them go full in on specific roles. Blood was more tank orientated and Frost was more DPS orientated.
Wasn’t up to par? I’m playing Blood DPS (not tanking at all) in Cataclysm right now and I’d say it’s doing just fine on most fights when I don’t accidentally start in PvP spec.
I’d say being slightly ahead of a 99 parsing Rogue is probably “up to par”
You also linked a normal run and its still not up to par when you actually look at the top end of other classes in a heroic setting since you want to talk about yourself being a top player. You arent even close. You are being beat by 20-130k.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s thousands more guilds doing Nef on Normal than Heroic. If doing the same DPS as a 99 parsing Rogue is not “up to par” then what is?
Have you ever posted something in 13,000 posts that is correct? Heroic Halfus, doing the same DPS as an 82 parsing Ele Shaman which is the 3rd highest spec on that fight:
Frost, heroic Nef, 56k max.
Frost, normal Nef, 29k max.
The people doing normal arent as good of players as those doing heroic. Clearly.
So what? The top elemental is doing 160k on Halfus, thats double your damage.
If you want to act like you are the best of the best when it comes to blood then you have to compare yourself with the best of the best. You arent even close to being on par with these guys.
Excuses.
Lol, suuuuure it is.
So? Its completely viable to eat a steak with a spoon. You want a cookie or something? That doesnt mean its up to par, up to standards which you are trying to have a standard that you are the best, but when you compare youself with the best of other classes you are severely lacking.
On average your dps is around 20k since you havent even done 5 bosses yet. Or its around 26k when you take Halfus out and the 5 bosses you havent done yet and you are having to get top parses to reach what the average player does with a dps spec.
Keep trying to skew results, but the overall data is there, Blood dps is bad and you should just go with an actual dps spec.
Oh and FPS drops isnt lag, thats just having a bad computer.
I turned off Details after Halfus and it’s fine. There’s multiple issues with different addons because so many of these are halfway or fully abandoned.
You are wrong.
Irrelevant, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Irrelevant, different fights.
You don’t. You are a bad player and spent 25 minutes writing up a bad post chock full of misinformation.
You do understand that Details could work fine in retail and have issues in Cata, right? It’s terribly bugged, among the issues PW:B decimates FPS. It was causing my PC to draw so much power that my LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. So yeah, you don’t know what you’re talking about (again.)
If I’m doing over 90th percentile level DPS from top 3-5 specs on many fights, it’s viable.
I’ve got an i7 with a 6GB 1060. Not a great computer but I don’t play anything that requires better. It’s also not the reason why details was dropping my FPS.
You literally dont know what you are talking about. If your lights were flickering in your house because of an addon then there is something seriously wrong with your equipment.
No you arent. You cant say 90th percentile for blood is the same as the 90th percentile for frost. If you took your numbers and applied it to Frost you would be somewhere in the middle. Thats pretty bad.
I had an i5 and a 780Ti which I still have for a backup. Never any problems.
Details shouldnt be doing anything to your FPS. Its not even an intense addon that stresses your CPU or anything causing a bottleneck for your GPU to cause a huge frame rate crash.
Your house and computer setup is trash if these things are happening. Or you think you are making some excuse trying to push this “blood dps is the best” nonsense but thats not how these things work. Computers have a limit that they can draw and if you exceed that limit your computer is going to crash before your lights start flickering.
I’m doing DPS equal to top 50 Frost DK’s in the world on Normal Nef.
I’m doing DPS equal to top 100 Frost DK’s in the world on Heroic Halfus.
My Halfus log is = to 95th percentile for Frost DK.
My Nef log is = 98 or 99th percentile for Frost DK.
Are you okay kid? Gonna stop lying now, or…? The rest of your post is gibberish and I’m not wasting time responding to it. It’s not great on all fights but on about half of these I’m doing 90-99 percentile Frost DPS. Magmaw was really good too.
