Frost Damage Outside of Cd's

Frost DK is awesome right now but the damage outside Pillar and RM windows is awful still. This is something the spec has always suffered from. Imo, they should just nerf both Pillar and RM and move that damage to our base kit.

What do you guys think?

Pof needs to go back to 20% at 20 sec on a 1 min cd

Oblit needs to do 1 damage and not split it’s damage with frost. So all the things that let it do frost damage put it all into obliteration and have that passively when chosen flips oblits damage table form physical to frost so then I scales with mastery.

Yeah I remember someone saying they should convert regular Oblit into Frostrike damage which mixes physical and frost. Lots of other specs do this already. Questing in Frost sucks and I know it’s the beginning of the expansion but when I see other classes blowing through mobs so easily it really sucks.

It’s not frost strike damage it’s jus frost damage an lot of it

PoF just needs to go away…I’ve never liked it as a class design. I hate the idea of hitting like a wet noodle until I hit this magic button that lets me hit hard for a short while, then wait for it to pop again. To me, that’s just not enjoyable gameplay. I’ve mained Frost since they were put in the game, and I’m not going to switch. But we need a bit of an overhaul. Again.

the spec is a mess because not only are there two builds that are nearly impossible to balance once you consider all content types, people can’t even agree on what damage profile they want lol.

Personally, I was a fine with S4 BfA FDK with 3x Icy Citadel and Ice Cap. Current TWW FDK is pretty similar. I enjoy it. I think that changes like current iteration of Ice Cap, that provide static CD reduction is bad design though. Old version of CDR from crit was certainly more interesting.

Unfortunately, DPS in World of Warcraft is probably just not up for you anymore. The entire game revolves around CD’s. Flat damage profiles are increasingly being phased out for burst windows. This is clearly evidenced by Outlaw rogues and Crackshot, BM hunters and Call of the Wild, Ret Pala and Radiant Glory, ect, ect.

Yeah I think the talents are fine but the damage profile is just not good. Yeah Pillar is a problem. 30% strength is way too much and it doesn’t last long. I would rather it be like 10%, last longer, and move the loss of damage to our base damage instead.

All of the specs you just listed have good damage outside of CD’s lmao. I’m also playing WW and I can easily hit 500k AoE dps on 5 dummies by just hitting Fists of Fury. Your argument makes no sense when there are clearly classes that have good damage outside of CD’s.

Have RW replace DD but keeping all of the talent interactions (haste, cleave, etc).

Would smooth out the rotation and would fit better thematically.
