Frost isn’t the same as it was in DF thanks to talents like deathchill. Deathchill sucks but ignoring it now that its the only game in town for frost mage is bad advice.

I don’t get blizzards awful insistence in keeping deathschill int he game. It’s not good now, it’s never been good, and they still bring it back. Like frankly whoever is doing frost mage changes should be ashamed of themselves of being able to so consistently make such hot garbage.
I get not flaming the devs, but the feedback was there, REMOVE DEATHSCHILL.

I cant understand the disconnection between devs and player base. Most changes based on gameplay are the opposite to what players want.
Every mage spec has the same problem and balance tunning is incomprehensible.
I just dont know wtf are they watching to do such changes

Deaths chill wouldn’t be bad if it didn’t follow frost bolt. Maybe have it proc with GS as well or maybe frozen orb?

I have Death’s Chill talented, but I’m not pumping out Frostbolts (nor Frostfire Bolts) much during Icy Veins except as filler. This means it is providing a marginal damage increase that I don’t even notice. My current talent build is good enough to solo tier 8 delves with minimal difficulty.
The best fix for Death’s Chill is to remove it. It being tied to Frostbolt is bad enough already but this dumpster fire of a talent also adds ramp to Icy Veins. It’s just bad all around.

I wish players would stop hating on death chill. I like the talent. I just wish it wasn’t connected to icy veins. I feel like it is a wasted talent point since we have slick ice already. The devs should just combine the talents under slick ice and leave it at 1 talent point. All the mage specialization trees are too bloated. All the fun talents you want gets ignored because you have to pick what sims better dps overall.

Also, I am tired of being forced into spell slinger for frost. Why can’t they balance frost fire with spell slinger and sun fury. Deathchill spec would be perfect for frost fire since there is a hero talent that increases the damage of frost fire each time it is cast. But even death chill can’t save frost fire from being obliterated by the performance of spell slinger.

Blizz devs are simply lazy.
I’m playing Frostfire ATM and I find I kill things much faster as Frostfire after the changes and having a blast with it. I’ve only done BRD LFR raid wise but I did pretty good. Yes I know LFR isn’t a good measuring stick but how many people on this forum are in world first races? I don’t suspect many of us.
We should play what we find fun.
Now that said, Spellslinger got gutted and I’m sad for people that enjoyed it’s play style and I hope Blizz fixes it.

Why can’t we flame people who make piss poor decisions and ruin a game you’re paying money monthly to play? I think ridicule is deserved when it’s deserved as to make sure these people don’t make the same stupid mistakes again. Like right now the nerfs to all the mage specs was a piss poor decision and to take us from A Tier to C tier is complete dookie of a move. Instead of just buffing all the other classes like they did, they nerfed us too just to make sure we’re below these classes. It’s like they’re doing a rotation of Flavor of the Month instead of actual balancing. A truly stupid decision made only by a stupid person.
