Hey!
I was transmogging my BfA staff and I can’t mog to one of the Legion Artifact skins. I have three of the hidden appearances unlocked (Blue, Green and Red) but I cannot mog to the Red. I can mog to every other appearance I have unlocked. Is this intended? Is there a workaround?

The only thing that comes to mind is the base color of frostfire remembrance is red/orange. Thus it cannot be unlocked by unlocking either the base fire or arcane hidden appearance and then completing the other requirements (dungeons, pvp kills, WQs).
Does the red/orange version show up in the Appearances section of your Collections window? Did you use the teleportation network proc to teleport to Frostfire Ridge to pick up the hidden appearance?
It does not show up in my appearance window. I cannot remember whether or not I went to Frostfire Ridge to collect the original, but I did collect one there today so I can only imagine so.
Which spec and version of the weapon are you trying to do? For example you cannot transmog a staff into an Arcane staff if you are in Frost spec, or vice versa you cannot transmog a staff into an Frost spec if you are Arcane. Also you cannot transmog into any mage artifact “Staff” if you are Fire since they only used swords in Legion.

In the case of the hidden appearances there was a time in Legion where if you unlocked ANY other spec’s hidden appearance and the extra colors of that appearance then the extra colors for the other 2 specs’ versions would also be unlocked, but not the base hidden appearance until you did that specific process of unlocking it for the related specs.
Example, if you get the Fire’s hidden artifact and unlock all of its color effects but never do the Frost’s base hidden appearance requirements then you will have the extra hidden appearance color variations for Frost but not it’s base appearance for the hidden ones. In this case you have to visit the order hall every day with the portal nexus available and use a random portal inside the order hall to see if it rolls you to frostfire ridge area in WoD. I believe you can only do the roll once per day.
