In vanilla wow do we know whether front shredding (druids) will be doable? Its sort of a bug, but at the same time without it feral viability goes down the tubes
It is a bug, and I believe was tested (and Front Stabbing) and shown to not work.
that’s unfortunate. i guess feral cat is toast, time to pick a new class.

I suggest rogue if wanting to dps or warrior if wanting to tank.
Druids heal in real vanilla.

Chill! Feral is still completely viable and fast for leveling. Just play the flavor you like. They’re all viable in their own way. I know thats not a very popular opinion, I just really dont think that because a bug was fixed a class is no longer viable.

the thing is i would love to play a druid, but i want to raid and not strictly as a healer. Actually i wanted to go feral bear, and bounce between roles like a druid is supposed to, but powershifting/front shredding is fairly critical to get decent (read DECENT) dps as cat.

The only thing it changes is leveling and Druid is already a good leveler so…nothing really changes.
Well we will probably not see it with changes.
As people could front stab on rogues in classic and tbc, it probably would of been possible for druids but it wasn’t really worth it to try and front stab in classic so I highly doubt you will ever see it in classics remake.
Mobs may be less lagy and more responsive.

People are talking about doing it due to latency/bug. There are reports of it both being possible and not being possible.
I lean on the side of possible because 1. People like to think they knew everything which most didn’t and 2. Things like sit proccing Reckoning/Enrage are repeated told not to work even tho there are videos from vanilla showing it and you can even do it on beta due to latency/lag which is the exact conditions for this bug to work.

Yeah I agree with Ghaelon, I also played a rogue back in vanilla… It was never possible. At least not for me anyway.
The character is my proof. I can prove I actually did level a Rogue back then, and I stubbornly stuck to Backstab spec because SS Combat was boring.
Sorry but that isn’t proof at all.
I leveled a rogue during that time and I was able to front stab occasionaly.
Where’s your proof you leveled anything back then?
