How much do you wanna bet they’ll take a page out of FFXIV Player housing and have limited space for people, meaning most of us will still be murder hobos.

I think they’re looking to sweep the win out of the rug from FFXIV. And I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt given their track record with their recent content so far.
Also, apparently they have a dedicated team to Player Housing now, which means they’re taking this really seriously.
I’m sure they’ll parade something out there to make players feel inadequate unless they upgrade to the biggest home (naturally this will only be available for real money).
They could also make players pay a weekly rental/tax fee, forcing us to grind like a second job. We are talking about a company that made players wait on a D-day beach, watching other people opening loot chests (COD WWII).
There’s also the $90 mount, so I’m expecting more whale-centric designs to player housing. So far nothing about it looks or feels great.

They won’t. They aren’t stupid. I mean you gonna sell an expansion with Housing as one of the main features if not THE main feature and the majority can’t access it. Nah. I doubt they are that stupid.

Of course they are, it’s gonna be a big deal especially for their cash shop. Thing is they have the advantage of knowing what was popular and what wasn’t from other games. I have no doubt it’s gonna be pretty good.
I just hope they make it realistic… like you have to get a mortgage, and insurance, and occasionally a pipe or something will break and you’ll have to find a plumber… maybe they’ll introduce new professions… you know, so people can fix your house when your combat pet chews up your electrical wires, or some jerk lands their dragon on your roof and spreads the shingles all over.

not quite. it’s gonna be garisson 2.0, less services/more customization i feel like.
don’t get me wrong it’s a neat idea… but i dont have much hype for it.
kinda like pet battles… neat, but gets old and i dont care anymore.
feels like a light side-dish. but what i really want is more meat for the main course.
Garrisons were bad because everything you’d ever need was there. Need your weeklies? Pick them up there. Need your dailies? Pick em up there. Profession stuff? Garrison. Auction House? Garrison. Need to make gold? Garrison.
There was never a reason to leave them unless you were heading to a raid or wanted to get out in the world.
They need to make the new housing without any benefits besides having your own place. No crafting benches or tables, no AH, no mission tables or followers. Make it straight time/gold sink. Make it completely optional so players who don’t want it can just ignore it.
