So on my launcher it correctly displays which friends are on… but when I login to game it shows I have zero friends online (in fact it shows 0 people on my friends tab).
I know they are online because a few are RL friends and the launcher is correct.
Have you tried to restart the launcher, perhaps restart your computer?
This glitch happens to me often, especially lately. Typically, I exit the game completely and relaunch WoW and it’s corrected. In the past, sometimes I would remove the cache folder, but relaunching works for me most of the time. You could submit (or contribute to another) bug report, as well.
Yeah, it has been happening a lot more of late… last few months.
I just relogged into the launcher and then the game and all is fine now… but kinda odd.
Typically, I don’t need to relaunch the launcher itself, as it’s an in-game glitch, but good to try if all else fails. It happens pretty much on a daily basis for me now, so I feel your pain lol.
Edit: I forgot to mention I have another in-game friend issue that makes me see people in my quick join that I don’t even know - I made another report about that this week. This was an issue before and just came back around again, maybe it correlates with this glitch.
