Yes, but the pre-patch was opened at like 1 am Pacific (technically on the next day). The game was off all day which was like 12 hours late.

And some people take it to go fishing or skiing.

Personally I don’t like traveling and gaming is my major hobby, so I take time off for game launches (not just wow, any major game I’ve been waiting for)

Suit yourself. I personally would rather use my vacation time to see the world, have new experiences, and go on adventures. I certainly wouldn’t use it to level in a Classic version of a game, but that’s just me.

I would only do this if i was at a use it or lose it status for my vacation time.

I dont really take vacations of my chosing my family usually uses up my vacation time with things they want to do, lol.

I am trying to save up vacation time to take a month off to take a month long class though.

any major game I’ve been waiting for

I used to do this, sadly my hype is misplaced to often, i took a week off for Biomutant because i liked the design and look of the game. GARBAGE, played through dark souls again instead.
