Why do more people not play with merciless bonegrinder/storm of swords from the arms tree and barbaric training from the war tree? I’m doing a thing on my war where I play blademaster with those talents + using the storm of destruction pvp talent. You get to bladestorm a lot which gives a lot of big whirlwinds. You have the flex points in the arms tree to play with and it feels better than having rend or skullsplitter on that side. It’s also a 60 rage dump instead of 40 on rend or thunder clap.

It’s a lot of talents to push a button that does less damage than MS frankly.

This is really a better comparison to rend/thunder clap/skullsplitter than MS. Like what to do with flex points.

Rend tends to make a better flex talent because it can stop restealths and frankly does the most damage of all of our dump talents without actually taking much away.

If you wanna do max pad you gotta spec hurricane and avatar → warbreaker → storm of swords → roar → sharpen Ms → bladestorm to maintain hurricane buff for roar duration then storm of swords at the end of the hurricane with mbg a 2nd time.

I guess that’s fine if you nerf other buttons, it’s not like warriors need any more damage.

My primary experiment isn’t really about max padding, just like are we sleeping on a button that might be better than the other flex options sometimes. I used it in a 1750-1800 lobby just now with arms, fury, unholy, and marks. Basically just throwing whirlwind as last priority in burst sequence. Two instances where one cast of it did more than 100k of single target to something. I think thunderclap rend is still better into rogue comps for sure just for the utility. But like this actually feels really good if you would rather have a little extra burst cleave button instead of the dot button without really losing the rest of the warrior stuff.

It’s an ok button. It’s just a lot of investment to get it to be ok. Same thing with slam it unironically is a decent button during warlords torment in a spear. It slaps. It’s just a lot of investment and you aren’t pressing overpower or mortal strike during it
