FRIENDLY name plates not showing

Not just enemy name plates in battlegrounds, but friendly nameplates aren’t showing when toggled. Tried the Cvar scripts suggested in other topics, nothing.

Did a full reset, which is weird cause when I re-loaded the game it ‘remembered’ my nameplate show/hide settings instead of resetting it to default.

Did the reset cvars thing, tried the nameplate script, nothing - nothing I do shows my friendly players nameplates around me.

Please do post over in the Bug Reports forum. I know they’ve got a few threads about the enemy name plates not showing, but this too should be reported. Unfortunately by posting here in CS, the staff that needs to see it? Won’t. This forum is one for players to assist other players, so it is unique in that no staff comes here to collect data and feedback.

Our SFAs are the only Blues you’ll see here on CS, but they have no part in addressing bugs. So please, again, post your issue over in the appropriate forum so that it can garner the Devs and their CM’s attention.

Thanks for confirming this. I’m a drive-by healer on my hybrids and love to throw heals at random players who are hurting and don’t realize it. (I also buff everyone in sight.)

Same problem here

Same problems, no friendly name plates since 10.1 launched. Tried everything I can think of, WTF clearing, addons disabled, different combinations of nameplate checkboxes and hotkeys, the nameplates in stock ui are just gone.

The most logical conclusion is that this resulted from the fix for disappearing nameplates from hunter feign death. The fix listed in the notes. And this doesn’t seem to be centered around an addon. I use very little addons, no nameplate addons, mostly stock, and I have done a full ui reset plus the run command and it doesn’t work.

I seriously doubt we’re all using the same addons.

Dumping the cvar doesn’t work either.

Having the same problem. Tried all the things I have seen suggested in these threads to no avail. As of 10.1, I can only see player nameplates if that player is currently selected.

It only appears to be effecting select people too, in my guild people have mentioned their player nameplates work fine

EDIT: Trying a fresh install to see if that does anything

Reinstalling WoW did nothing, player plates still refusing to show no matter what script I try to run or anything

EDIT: THE SCRIPT WORKS

originally, using /run SetCVar(“nameplateMaxDistance”, 60) did nothing for me

however once I changed the value from 60 back to 20, they popped up. Then I just set the value back to 60

hope this helps

I tried what you suggested but unfortunately I haven’t been able to get it to work yet.

When i set the value to 20, nothing changes.
