Friendly M+ Communities for learning?

Are there any friendly M+ communities for people learning a new role?

I’m not looking for a carry, I’d just like to not be screamed at for making a mistake as I’m learning

Does anyone know of any?

Hi there!

Seeing as you are new to the Mythic+ community, I recommend the Mythic Plus Friends Discord Community! They help players learn from base Mythic dungeons to actual keys!

The WoWMadeEasy community was supposed to be for that, dunno how good it actually is though.

There are mixed results, sometimes it’s really fun and good, sometimes it’s just a pug with 4 extra steps.

I think a potential issue with WME is that much of the community’s advertising is done through the pug finder. People see WME for a key they want, then look up “what is WME WOW” then join the discord, don’t read the notification that the whole point is being nice to people, get the passcode, and join the group. Then they act how any pug would act, which can be anything from rude to friendly. You get some people who both don’t understand what the community is and are frustrated that they had to do 4 extra things to get into a pug.

I got some friends in the DnD pug wow community and they seem to really enjoy it. On the weekends they have a very active mythic plus event that lasts a couple hours.

I’d advice you to find a m+ focused guild, not sure how many active ones there are that are easy to find though (dear lord the guild finder could use a re-design).

Other than that, you can find friendly pugs. Just be open and communicative before you start. Say that you’re learning, that you might ask questions during or after the dungeon, or whatever it is that you think might be good to know. After the dungeon, if it’s someone you like, whisper them and ask to add them in case they ever want to do more dungeons together. If your friend list goes large you can set notes such as “Friendly m+ healer” to keep track of each persons qualities.

Yes, the key event. It’s every Saturday at 2pm EST.

Several that I’ve found to be good:

  • Mplus Friends
  • WME
  • DNDPuG
  • Casual Friday

With all of them remember to be respectful and follow the rules of the discord! Generally you get back what you give out and I’ve had some wicked good runs especially on WME/DND.

If you’re upfront about your ability and willing to learn you’ll have a good time.

Thank you! I’ll definitely check it out.

I’ve heard of that one but haven’t joined. Honestly I’m just looking to learn tanking. Dps is fun but I want to learn a new role and it’d be nice to have a place to learn without getting flamed for mistakes.

I know of some guilds that get teams together inter guild runs maybe pug a dps here and there but running m0s and low keys with guildies is how we do it in my chapter
