Friend got silenced in game for being afk

Like I said, I’m just fascinated by the visceral reaction some have to what is just your average wow player who attained some fame in Twitch’s early climb.

Meh. Never found him to be really inciteful.

That I can respect. I see him as one of those people (the same can be said about certain movies and works of fiction) where there’s no middle ground it’s either love or hate.

democracy is “majority decides, minority obeys”, sir.

That’s another fascinating thing I’ve noticed, and just an observation. People deemed “Polarizing” usually are the ones most ready to engage with most everyone, and people who deem others “polarizing” are most likely to reject the other side completely.

Just an observation.

Whether this is made up or not, I think most can agree that having a game with this many players and so few tickets being reviewed and closed in a timely manner is ridiculous.

There are a lot of things that people unnecessarily complain about. Ticket times are not one of them

Which is why honestly, barring any illegal activity, I feel better chat tools should be given to players instead of wasting time fielding reports and appeals.

There’s a profanity filter and yes, it should be a perfect excuse for people using profane but legal speech. Don’t want to see it, filter it should be a good enough answer.

As soon as GMs are free of the duty of policing chat for any perceived slights, they can respond to actual worthwhile tickets intead.

I think that observation is correct. I doubt there is anything that could change my opinion of Asmongold and I’m sure most people who like him would say the same thing.

Your friend needs to open an appeal. Posting on the forums will not appeal it. Even if the wait is long, still try to appeal it, to get the black mark removed from the history.

The ironic part is how Car has acted comparatively. I have seen nothing “unhinged” in here, but his hostility is overboard.

Always is when it comes to the topic of automated moderation, because he’s put so many posts over the years denying its existence, any evidence and admission to the contrary just completely destroys all his credibility, so he has to deny fast and hard everytime.

How long ago was that? I don’t remember threads intended to incite false reporting of some streamer by people who had never watched them.

Bellular goes “shiny!” a lot without considering the whole picture. Matt, on the other hand, is really good at finding and analyzing data.

You mean Asmon? I got several mounts after watching his old videos on how to farm them.

One guy I discovered recently is Izen Hart. He seems to at least play the game at a decent level enough where talking about it comes from an informed perspective, rather than just what he read on wowhead and is producing a 10:01 minute video of it to monetize.

It was clips from his stream where he would say something in game chat and ask people to report him to prove the system was automated.

No I was referring to Bellular.

I might have to check him out. There are only a few WoW streamers I watch regularly Towelliee, HazelNuttyGames, Sloot, MrGM, AnnieFuchsia and Sco.

Except, they did say Squelches are automated. Suspensions and bans are not. You have this habit of conflating words to be synonmous to one another.

Squelches/Silences are not the same as a Suspension/Ban. Suspensions are not the same as bans, either.

So this happened…once quite a few years ago.

Not supposed to AFK in AV, supposed to leave if you have to AFK.

Nope?

Telling others to report someone else, especially when they didn’t break any rules and them going through with it, is against the EULA and CoC. WoW doesn’t have a ToS

Squelches can. Have a nice day.

False, because if you notice - you don’t get ‘squelched’ or ‘silenced’ on the forums 0.1 seconds after a post gets flagged do you?

There is no automated BANS at this time, nor automated SUSPENSIONS.

Asmongold proved people do, and then Staysafe did recently.

Feel free to provide screenshots of peoples tickets where they earned such actions on their accounts for ‘absolutely no reason’ stated by GMs.

I’ve found that bit to be untrue, they only seem to investigate if it’s appealed by player.

You can with evidence, like someone saying on stream “Hey report that person.” and that person having clearly said nothing wrong or could in any way, be considered ‘disruptive’.

They didn’t gaslight us, but you’re trying to be saying it’s all automated because only a certain function is to prevent spambots like some other games consistently have everywhere.

Pretty sure the person themselves has proven to be one more than anyone else.

See? You’re right there with him, proven to be lying.

What like rule breaking? Imagine that, your post fits that bill.

All of your posts have proven to be false now go be a streamers teachers pet somewhere else.

Wasn’t automated, I guess you didn’t read through that blue post. Not surprising for rules for thee but not for me Rhielle.

False, there was an issue with the data itself. There was no automated bans for a month. I dare you to make a post in the CS forums saying that and see how it goes. You will be corrected, and you won’t because you know you’d be corrected. It’s why this entire post was put in GD instead of CS, too.

False, it didn’t happen specifically instantly like you want to claim. Most were offline or doing something else when it occurred, as what happens with GM review.

Nope, you’re ignoring a blue post and since you continue to do this it’s time to use the forum functions too.

“Our analytics data was incorrect.” Isn’t “Our bans were automated.” Stop trolling and disrupting the forums.

Ironic.

You get a debuff at a lower threshold than the instant kick from BGs, which requires quite a large chunk of the team to achieve. The kick, is that. A kick, you don’t get actioned, squelched, or anything else from that. Nice try, though.

Let OP post on their retail char and we’ll see. :3

Wonder about his accusations towards everyone here, and about those that use reports and are too ‘soft’? Imagine that.

PFFTHAHAHAHA. No evidence for any of your claims yet.

Yes I do, my post immediately gets hidden. Happened with a gif from Death Becomes Her.

Oh! So when a post gets hidden you can no longer post after for 24-72+ hours? Oops, you still can. Not silenced, or squelched, or forum privileges revoked.

By both Blizzards definition, and the actual definition, no it isn’t.

Doesn’t last at all, since you can continue to post.

Squelches are not a thing.

It’s a full blown automated silence that only an appeal will reverse. There’s no “manual review before applying a silence”, there’s only a manual review on appeal.
