If I could refund my preorder I would but I used to level boost to bump up a rogue.
Personally Im waiting to see if Blizz finally listens to feedback given how overwhelming the response to the Soar nerf is. If they do Ill give Dragonflight a try, if not I have to assume they havent changed at all and this is just the start to turning Dragonflight into Shadowlands 2.0 and I wont have any part of it.
you can still refund the preorder, they will just lock your rogue from playing till you pay for a boost or rebuy the preorder. At least that was a thing back in shadowlands and BFA. If they locking refunds (edit) out it only points out the âhook, line, and sinkerâ tactic harder.
Slime cat, the achievement was already in the game that said any difficulty and it was changed in a hot fix later down the road when they tied it to a mount. So between that and then the âalpha changeâ it shows simply put that they donât care. And really who can argue with that logic, if their company is still massively profiting from the game then our voices wonât matter till they arenât profiting anymore. And we have a very long way from that happening.
My post referred to Soar only. Not slime cat. Thatâs a whole other issue that I do not have an opinion on because its not something I would have ever gotten anyway so I had no expectations.
How can it even be a nerf? Itâs a change to an unfinished product that hasnât made it live. And keeping people online longer? Not everyone is going to reroll dracthyr. Honestly I wouldnât object if they reduced it to 410% speed.
they made the CD on Vulperaâs racial Return to Camp 60 minutes for god sake.
Its a hearth lmaoâŠit has no real game value and is in no way unbalanced to make it half that.
5 minutes is nothing.
People like to go fast, while they watched content streamers go super fast and videos of some one going through kalimdor in 5 mins which would take 10 normally. It got people excited, they too wanted to do just that. They wanted to see the landscape soar past them, the super fast speeds as it kicks that dopamine into their brains as they begin having fun. As the focus on dragon flying (which is soar but without the dragon and on a 5 min cd) it really hyped up people and made them want to try it (which you have to own the game.)
On top of that, seeing Blizzard respond to all forms of feedback, making positive changes and generally a positive out look for once for many skeptics and players alike they were on that fluffy cloud to cloud 9.
However with a nerf (change) within alpha out of no where in the middle of hype cloud 9, with an excuse that was lame and had no foundation to stand on people were outraged. Goals of people mimicing their youtube / twitch content creators were removed because they can now never travel that fast that they saw. And with no responses towards an upset community and receiving the silent treatment people begin to remember the past. The silence when they have been upset about other things that did go live, or happened in live. Which is only reinforced by the silence of the slime cat mount.
You can simply just push it off as âpeople are overreactingâ or âits not that importantâ but these are opinions and everyone has a different one. You also donât have to main dracthyr to enjoy soar for 5-10 mins every day or every other month. Its the little things that count and really seeing how dismissive the opposition is and the people who defend Blizzard by saying other peoples feelings donât matter or arenât justified only reinforces the toxic nature of the wow community.
No oneâs forgetting about this, I fully expect them to come to their senses and undo this stupid nerf and I personally hope whichever genius sat there at the dev meeting and thought up this idea reads all this feedback and realizes how absolutely dumb their idea was.
Given the absolutely overwhelming negative response to this itd be crazy to think they wouldnât. The level of dissonance between their vision and what the players want would have to be on par with say⊠Blizzard charging people hundreds of thousands of dollars to 100% Diablo ImmortalâŠ
Yeah Im sure if we all just let Blizz do what they want without ever offering feedback or airing our grievances theyll suddenly start being a perfect company.
The reason Blizzard gives Twitch streamers and Youtubers Alpha access is because itâs free publicity. Advertising is expensive, so itâs a money saver for them. So no, they will never stop giving them access to stream and post Alpha videos.
Itâs good to provide feedback, constructive criticism, having debates, so Iâd rather have people like them than people like you.
