Fresh wrath servers but not a single tbc era server. WHY!?!?!?!

or atleast thats the only option so far

vanilla tbc and wotlk era realms would be so fun to bounce between the 3 expansions

Okay, let me rephrase. Only a minuscule portion of the player base wants any form of era realm. These minuscule portions aren’t worth Blizzard’s effort to run those realms.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this.

Sure… but history has kind of shown that the era player base is the smallest portion of the player base.

If classic era wasnt worth doing then blizzard wouldnt have done it. You need. Era servers for SoM. Blizzard has already said they intend to do more seasons. Vanilla is more popular than any expansion.

Since you clearly dont work for blizzard, youre just talking out of your butt.

no tbc era because classic era was a complete and utter failure… doesn’t help blizzard made it DOA by forcing you to choose either era or tbc (or pay a bunch of money for both). But that doesn’t matter to them. Keeping up and maintaing servers no one will play on is bad business. Surprised they have kept the era servers up

No, you don’t. They are entirely separate realms. Do they use the same client? Yeah, because Blizzard doesn’t need to put out a fourth client. Blizzard has already said they aren’t doing TBC Era. They also haven’t talked about what will go down once this first SoM is over.

So they have already said that Era wasn’t worth it, but they did it at the time because they thought it would be.

Im not talking about tbc era… and they already said they’re doing additional seasons.

Then why reply to me? My comment was strictly in regards to era realms. Not Season of Mastery realms.

era was never even given a chance becasue of the clone fee

the majority of the playerbase will not want to be forced into cata

enough people still play on classic era

SoM was a huge bust, maybe it would have been better if Blizzard decided TBC and on wasn’t worth it so they just started doing fresh Vanilla, but as far as I’m concerned SoM flopping is pretty definitive proof that while the Classic era as a whole can definitely thrive, there is little appetite among the entire playerbase to be stuck in a perpetual state, something people pointed out long before Classic was even a twinkle in Blizzard’s eye.

The only real argument for doing it is that it hurts no one to just give them a server, buuuuut one can make the argument that it fractures the playerbase. People who are fine with WoTLK, but may choose TBC may opt to stay in TBC and this hurts new expansions from maintaining a healthy population.

I always argued that while I liked the SoM concept the fact that they were trying to do both things at the same time was going to be a problem so I’m not surprised it got abandoned already. Personally I think SoM would work as a good form of content if they just did through WoTLK (or more) before resetting servers.

Not to mention SoM pulled away many of the players that would have otherwise played Era.

som didnt effect the era player base at all i didnt notice anyone quit era for som

Era died. Why would they bother with a tbc era? Lol

era isnt dead. its playerbase is actually growing

Bro, spamming the thread with denial doesn’t make it true.
