After having no RP servers in SoM I highly doubt they’d have them on fresh Classic. This seems like a scam.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was sometime this year but more likely towards the end of it.

How you know its fake:

  1. Too close to Diablo IV. If a fresh Classic happens, it will be during the lull between 10.1 and Diablo. Likely in July or August. If it doesn’t happen then, don’t expect it until the lull between 10.2 and 11.0, likely early 2024.

  2. Honor at launch was a disaster in SoM, they won’t repeat that.

  3. There won’t be more than one PVP server. Even in SoM, there wasn’t enough to sustain a single PVP server. Hopefully, Blizz now understands they need to design servers for 4-6 months in, not just launch.

In case anyone is wondering this was picked up by Solheim and he made a video on it which currently has 10k views. While I’m all for any Classic hype this is fake as there is no way they would release this a couple days before Diablo 4’s release. If the creator of this timeline had put July or August it would have been move believable.

A sped up release kills it for me, I don’t care about racing to max level I just want to enjoy my time and frankly I’ve quit whenever I hit level cap in Wrath and TBC

Kinda sad Blizzards communication is so poor though.

I realize they have a captive audience but they could say something relative to a potential timeline.

if we can recall that far back, they released some classic stuff at the same time as shadowlands stuff. so it isn’t unprecedented that they could release it close to diablo IV.

How many times can y’all play the same ol mediocre content. I wish we could get something in between vanilla and retail. Updated noise and graphics, classes balanced, some additional moves from vanilla, mana actually matters, practically all of the stats together.

I don’t necessarily want a speedy release assuming this is true. I like the pace of classic. You have 40 people to gear up.

You do realize people did fresh over and over on pservers right? They still do pservers today even.

Classic+ is where the Classic Team’s efforts should be focused. Bring on Phase 7!
