They did say it would come later, so it’s also very possible it just acts as another gold-sink at 60.

The developers of Classic make every decision in benefit of the raid logging parse logging crowd. If something benefits them, they will choose to change classic to make them happy. It doesn’t matter if it alienates everybody else who enjoys classic for different reasons. Either they don’t care or they don’t get it, this is how they make their decisions. This pretty much proves it.
They have seasonal content to make fundamental changes like this or even Classic Plus. But they choose to do it to with this so-called museum they lied about.
Because they’re obsessed with parse logging raid log culture. So that’s all that’s going to be left here over time. Just like in retail.
A dystopia of no social interactions going on. Just mandated parse log resumes and toxicity. They can make all the social contracts they want, but they are developing this toxicity. Proactively developing with their poor decision making, and obsessive appeals to the exact player base that creates the problem.

Yep. I think the “Classic” team should go make their own game at this point, rather than making changes to the Classic game.

Yea, with dual spec, what little interest I had evaporated. I think the only thing that could save it now would be if they made it a true Classic+ (ie, not intending to be Vanilla, small balance changes, bonus content) and intended to keep an Era version of it.
I wasn’t going to engage anyway other than to casually level a character in prep for TBC, but now I’m definitely not going to waste my time in a retail-ified version of the exact same thing I’ve been doing for the last 5 years, lol.
If they announce that TBC will get an Era I will roll a character, otherwise, enjoy your tourist attraction, kids!

It’s the biggest way that dual spec changes the game, even though the people demanding it claim that dual spec doesn’t change the game at all. Now there is a lot more competition for loot, because everyone is now effectively 2 specs all the time.

Personally I’m having fun either way.
The existence of a gold-sink, or instant mail doesn’t tether my enjoyment of the vanilla experience at all.

however i am 100000000% OK with only being able to use the spec swap in a rested area. Completely OK with that.
not okay with “being at a trainer” since not every major city has a trainer for every class, so some classes get a major advantage vs say druids.
