Are there really more folks interested in fresh classic TBC than there are interested in SoD TBC? Man, that seems like such a waste! I cant imagine a WoW product that would be more enticing, at least to me, than SoD TBC – I guess I’m just wondering if I’m the minority here, or if Blizz is the one failing to read the room?
I would re-roll again for a T B C F R E S H.
Level 60 F R E SH
I mean, given what we’ve seen out of SoD… I feel like it’s dampened everyone’s expectations massively. Phase 1 had me hyped about it because it felt genuinely innovative in the aspects they seemed to be focusing on… but after seeing how the full game has played out, it just doesn’t feel like a classic + scenario like we all were hoping for.
SoD TBC would be better than SoD vanilla just because I think there’s a lot of aspects in TBC that were very healthy gameplay wise, both quality of life and methods of keeping the world active and alive (at least for outlands)…
In the end I’m just not really content with what we’re getting out of SoD, so I’m going to give Fresh a try. I’m not convinced that fresh will be my cup of tea either, but I’m just so checked out of SoD right now as a PvPer, that there’s no harm in trying it out to me. Them rehashing blood moon for the 3rd time, as a rogue, doesn’t exactly excite me either, though I’m sure the boomies and hunters will have a blast with it.
they need to add tbc content to a lvl 60 sod
It would be awesome to have a good version of classic where the classes are updated to have more viable specs
Unfortunately this specific Dev team are not the ones to deliver on that
Always on the side of #nochanges with the classic wow devs cause they are kinda horrifically bad at class design
If this projection becomes true. At least give the portal option to leave or stay. And make SoD Era into 3 mega servers like they are going to do with Fresh v2.0.
I would play either, however I most likely wont level 1-60 again in true classic so they better allow us to transfer our toons from SOD or give us level 60’s to play in TBC Classic.
I disagree, SOD is what it is, seasonal, we all knew that and nobody expected anything past Naxx tbh. Its still a super fun game mode and I expect most of us to raid the next couple phases. AQ changes look cool, new items, loot etc.
They have already said multiple times that our toons in SOD will not go away. So either they are planning on continuing SOD or allowing us to move existing toons.
Fresh hype!!!
The real game is classic.
Only bads play wow with training wheels
SoD
I think people expected a little bit more on the added content front though. I don’t know if they fell behind, or if their resources got cut, or what have you… but we got short changed along the way.
I’m sure it’ll be alright for PvErs. PvPers they basically took the one thing going for our loot, which was the timing of the release of it, and handcuffed it to release when it was going to be weaker than the alternatives. I really had hoped they’d do more world PvP events, but it just feels like PvP got put on the back burner.
Don’t care.
TBC changed a lot of the class mechanics and did a better job at overall class balance than Vanilla ever did (no extreme Warrior meta).
Because of that TBC Fresh vs SoD TBC is not really a huge difference for me. I would be fine either way.
Only thing I want is for TBC to come sooner than a year from now. We just spent a year in SoD slowly progressing through every Vanilla zone so I am ready for Outlands and some new scenery.
I am not sure sod did change things with vanilla as the base. It added free damage buttons to classes which lacked them (example ret), made some classes bring unique buffs and debuffs, it solved some specs going oom real fast. tbc did the same but tbc raids are fun without adding more mechanics or new abilities and rely more on minding the danger zone to win.
Sod is fun in a crazy anything goes way, as for tbc there is little I would change aside from keeping pre and post nerf raids on a separate lockout and making party wide buffs raid wide. So no I dont think tbc needs the runes that made sod.
Lol? How or why would you be able to xfer anything off of SoD to a non SoD version? Hello?
I love Oren
Fox can eat a bag of
All they really did at the end of the day was add mop talent system to existing talents, add mythic raiding, and push pvp events while completely ignoring pvp class balance.
The pve Andies who are high on copium still playing SoD don’t want to admit that ignoring pvp is the big reason SoD population tanked completely.
These particular classic wow devs have created an environment that validates the idea that pvp balance can be ignored but ignoring pvp balance is exactly why SoD will be remembered as an abominable failure.
We need better devs for classic plus, this classic wow dev team is not it and never will be.
SOD Era > SoD BC or Fresh
I hope they do what they did to Era with the step through portal option. I rather stay.
Warlock was incomplete in vanilla. You must be speaking on behalf of your choice classes. SoD made warlock well rounded. It feels like the pre BC patch. Where enjoyment was at its peak.
I prefer Era environment. With well rounded classes. SoD offers more but still some work. Plus alt and casual friendly.
All this doom talk needs to be countered. Therefore here I am
I’m super impressed with people who can go from SoD back to era with only 3 or 4 viable classes and specs and 2 button rotations.
Have you even tried playing era since playing sod? If not, you’re in for a treat
Well said. That’s not just for warlock too but for all classes. It’s funny, how many players will roll a Paladin in fresh thinking they are going to go ret only to end up being forced into healing if they want a raid spot.
Now that would be awesome! Open the portal and let us venture into tbc without increasing the level cap. Oh man… one can dream
Why not just open up tbc content and tune it for level 60? Why do we need level 70? It just makes all classic content inferior and pointless. Besides we pretty much have all of our tbc abilities in game right now.
Open the portal!
