do you think they will make fresh tbc servers at launch where players wont be able to transfer toons n stuff? i dont think so, but i figured id ask yall
yeah I think they will
I don’t know. If they do, I bet some people will roll on it. If they don’t, I’d wager nobody will roll on it.
i think that people will roll on these types of servers so then guilds who have already been farming for gold n stuff wont curve the economy on the server
(jeez WoW is turning more political with its economy n stuff)
The economy will get jacked regardless. Classic started fresh. People will exploit fresh tbc just the same.
There is zero evidence for fresh tbc at launch. It was removed from the most recent survey.
yuh true
idk and i am not expecting anything other than a poor experience just like classic
It’ll be a blast. Don’t go in with a bad mindset or you will have a bad time. Tbc is a ton of fun. It’s widely regarded as the best version of wow. The economy in classic is not game wide. For instance on my server it’s just fine. Servers with huge populations are the ones with crazy inflation. People talk as if servers like mine are dead but they aren’t. Sure people aren’t logging on as much right now but it was the same back in vanilla before tbc.
The problem with mega servers is they will be even larger in tbc. They will likely remain sharded or layered forever. Outland is much smaller and has less resources than Azeroth meaning inflation is just going to be worse. It’s not because of gold buying/selling. That doesn’t help to be sure. The real issue is supply and demand. There’s far too many people on those servers. The supply can’t keep up so the price goes up on everything. Try playing on a lower pop server and I bet you have a better time. The community is usually better too.
i hope not. if they take away any permanence players had up to this point and start everyone over, everyone is just going to play horde because its the statistically better choice. it happens on every tbc pserver and they always end up having to do crazy stupid things to try to get people to move from horde to alliance.
yes, maybe the top end sweathogs that care about a world first on 15 year old content may reroll to horde, but i doubt everyone will if you just wanna play and have fun like a lot of people, youre gonna be perfectly fine on alliance
I don’t think they are asking for everyone to be fresh.
I’m also certain they will. They need to release the right number though. Too little and they’ll have 8 hour queues, too many and they’ll die. The safest option is begin with 4. 1 EU PVP, 1 EU PVE, 1 US PVP, 1 US PVE.
Not a chance.
It was removed because the only information Blizzard was seeking was concerning fresh classic servers. They already know what they’re doing with TBC. They don’t need to survey it anymore.
Yeah… they know they’re not doing fresh tbc.
If they do I imagine it will only be new players. Everyone else will want the option to carry over their 60’s with all the stuff, especially grandfathered stuff, that they can have.
I wonder how long they would have to transfer lock such servers from others. Or if there would ever be transfers, seeing as how they would be like a month behind.
I have a couple of 60s, thousands of gold, Thunderfury, full T3. I don’t care about losing any of it. I play for the experience. And a fresh TBC server will have a much more rewarding experience. Especially when it comes to levelling and gearing.
6 months should suffice in locking transfers. That probably means some time during T5 content.
Probly but it will be a source of complaint for those players on that server when they zone into the singular Battlegroup Arena / BG and get wrecked by superior geared players.
Make no mistake, blizzard is unlikely to provide these “Fresh” servers with a new battlegroup because if they did then the QQ about “mah BG does not pop as horde” will be off the charts.
you also need to factor in that old world stuff still retains value in tbc. runecloth, enchanting mats, ore, engineering components, skins, recipes, patterns, herbs, cooking mats, faction perks such as argent dawn enchants/recipes, crusader/executioner/spellpower/etc, fish/rare fish, etc, its all still valuable. heck even level 1 belf gear with no stats, is more valuable on the market than at the vendor.
I think there will be, and should be frankly. Just a few. Choice is good
Yup, but certain posters like to read into things and make inferences based solely on their bias.
Anyway, I’d only play TBC if there’s a fresh server option. Otherwise the experience is broken right from the start.
I’m sure there’ll be fresh servers, but why would it be “broken” to have an authentic TBC launch on existing servers? TBC launched with existing servers progressing. I’m not sure when they opened fresh servers, though.
