Hoping to get some understanding why they decided to do a 1 year timeline to tbc but not go with 25m raid size which you will be doing in tbc shortly…you just cut 15 raiders after a year? Why not allow a 25m or 40m option atleast? I dont get it and hope to see anything from the devs or community council on this.
Are you saying it would make you not want to play? I wouldnt understand how anyone raiding at 25 would negatively affect someone raiding at 40, do as you please
40 is the standard raid size for Classic. And there are some 20 mans as well. I’d prefer to see the size increase in Retail than have it decrease in Classic, tbh, but I’m OK with things the way they were.
Of course, anniversary realms have had enough changes that you may as well add more at this point, so I’m not here to vote against any of your proposed changes for them. I just certainly don’t want them spilling over to Classic Era realms.
I see the point here. An accelerated timeline should be met with something like higher drop rates or, like this post suggests, smaller raid sizes to make it a bit more approachable to make up the difference. But they would have to retune a lot of content in order to do this. I think that would throw a lot in motion and make a lot of people unhappy. Some folks really want to re-experience that feeling of being part of a massive, epic sized raid. They probably would also prefer more time in Vanilla, though.
You can clear all but Naxx as 25 players in the version of Vanilla (1.12) tuning using the present TBC game rules framework with “vanilla” stat allocation we presently have.
There is no need to change anything as a result; simply play better and use world buffs and consumables.
Right so you just dont clear naxx or pug 15…i understand the game i have cleared it all since 2019 and before that on private servers. The point is that it makes zero sense trying to build a 40 man team just to cut 15 in a year for tbc when you could just raid 25 entirely. Most of the playerbase seems to be waiting on tbc anyway not vanilla
a lot of things about vanilla don’t make sense that’s why we love the game. yes, your guild will probably be torn apart once TBC comes out. but that’s like a year away dude. enjoy the moment.
