Right now DP is popping. The server has life again, the economy (for those that want it) is popping. This are absolutely great right now. Then, next week I feel like everything is going to go to trash with the new HC fresh server. SR will most certainly meet its end. It was already on life support.
I don’t get this logic. HC doesn’t need a fresh server. We needed the servers to be merged. People saying that HC need’s fresh because level 20’s running around with firey… who cares… If they’ve played long enough to get those items. They deserve it. Heck, in a week or two they will die and it will just be gone anyway. HC is essentially always fresh. If you don’t like the economy play Self Found. Problem solved.

Fresh entices people in because everybody has this delusion of grandeur that they’ll be the one to claim a server first of something when in reality the only ones getting server firsts are speed runners and streamers.

Sucks! A SF only server would be cool.
But I’m of course going to play on it then buy some gold in 1-2 days. Does anyone know what time the server goes live? I remember classic relaunch was like 4pm PST.

Fresh is fun 
New communities and connections are formed.
Outside of that they should have offered a different experience with a new HC server that the other two are not offering.

The whole reason why there has been HC interest in the last 3 months is because of onlyfangs… and the anticipation of a fresh HC server

So Hardcore has a great community, and no it doesn’t need a bunch of streamer fanboys to infect the server. At most this interest will last a few months where will bring to the server resulting in an explosion of new bots to support their RMT, ultimately having a negative impact on the community. When they bail in a few months, the fresh server which is no longer fresh will have fragmented the population further, resulting in three servers none of which had the healthy population that DP currently does.
I am just not as negative as you. I am looking forward to the experience.

Completely agree. It’s taking away from fresh hype and the servers don’t need a reset. It was only done for the streamers who have even said they don’t want prog servers so its not even being done correctly for them.
Hardcore has a consistent population as leveling is the main content, splitting up the player base of it is asinine and unnecessary

It’s a USEast server anyway, Not going to add to my latency by playing there on top of the lag from all the lemmings following the streamers around.

People want to move to the fresh server because they failed on the old server. They think they might achieve something new on the fresh server. But I believe that if they failed on the old server, they will likely failed on the fresh server too.

Those people who keep dying at low levels and never reach level 60. I believe you’ve probably seen a lot of them recently on the fresh server.
