Fresh BG Fun

SoD battlegrounds (mostly AB) feel just right at the moment. Truly been having a blast with seriously good and close games. The only thing dragging me down has been the horde Q times.

So good news for my friends who want faster Q times in the evening! Myself and about 16 or so guild mates made fresh Ally toons a few days ago and we’re all hitting 60 around now. It’s tough without all of our BIS gear and being dirt poor, but Q times should get a LOT better in the evenings in the next few days!

Let’s get the fun rolling again :grinning:

How is it going now? Wondering what faction to play.

if you are just looking at BGs play horde

So far, I’d say the Alliance pvp has been a mixed bag. 30% competent players + 70% mostly useless . I can absolutely attest that the only reason why they lose so much is due to their insta-quit mentality. Ally trades wins/losses during the day, but night time is nothing but a horde stomping festival. The lack of people using or even reading chat is strange and unhelpful. Long story short, they don’t go into BGs to win, unless some hard carries are there to do the work. Wet noodle rep farming.

As for horde, they have a lot of similar issues, but when they wait 30+ minutes per battle, they all want to win. They have a lot of scrubs too though, so it doesnt take much effort to beat them with basic callouts.

All-in-all, alliance is the worse option for PVP if you want to win, BUT is a way better option if you want fast Q times. I do think alliance will have a leg up on horde if they stop being cowards that only hold 2 bases all game without any effort.

As for Pally/Shaman combat, that bit has been fun. Paladin has always been a pain in the butt for Horde, but they’re completely manageable. Now that I’ve been fighting shamans, I can say 100% without a doubt that they are about equal interms of annoying to paladins. There are no 31/31/31 monsters out there hunting you lol. Most are quick easy slaps, and a few are more beefy but fairly harmless when nuking them at range. I will say the totems and dogs are pretty darn annoying, but mostly harmless.

Both sides are worth playing and have unique advantages.

I’ll update this with more of my experience in a week or two.

^Horde do not have 30+ minute Qs lol

10-15 minutes max whenever I Q. It was less than 5 last night.

I play hunter / warrior on both alliance and horde and can say for those classes shaman is 100x tougher. Group PvP aswell shaman reigns supreme by a long margin.
