So after I updated my wow client and windows I started having issues in game. It started as small freezes during game play and now includes audio delays, either i won’t hear some sounds or i hear them way after they happen. I don’t have this issue with any other game but wow. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this may be ? I have reinstalled wow , ran a scan and repair and made sure the correct drivers were installed… Any help would be appreciated . Thanks

im experiencing similiar issues. its about .5-1.5 seconds and then it just catches up.
Im having the same problem, every 2 min im getting a 15 sec lag spike plus audio delays and continue data download.
Have you found a fix for this ?
This is being addressed at Persistent Green Circle Icon - “game data is being downloaded.” . They are going to be releasing a fix, no eta yet though.

I have the same issue… a temporaly fix for me is disable the sound in the game… ALL sound… so yeah… pretty bad, hopefully this gets fixed ASAP
Thank GOODNESS I am not the only one experiencing this issue. I’ve had this issue for the past week or so but the last two days it has gotten a lot worse.
I’ve had small 5sec freezes to at worst, having the entire game freeze for 30sec and eventually having to force close it, I’m also experiencing the audio delays where only certain sounds will come through, there will be silence, than all of a sudden all the audio that was supposed to happen in the last 10 or so seconds happens all at once.
I had tried multiple different things to try and fix the issue
- Deleted Cache folder
- Fiddled with audio settings + lowered graphic settings
- Run repair multiple times
etc etc … all in vain.
same problem. installed shadowlands beta on my ssd today. audiolag, suddenly it all catches up… and randomly game freezes. cant play like that 
Bump. Also get this. It lost me an arena game yesterday. Nothing like having your game freeze right when you need to run to your healer.

yup… this needs to be fixed. its just not playable
Also same issues. frequent freezing and .5–1.5 audio lag in game only. using 1660TI GPU with current drivers. Freezing has been occurring since patch 9.0.1. the sound lag has been the last 2 days (that I’ve noticed)
