Since all classes are getting freed up for all races we should be able to choose racials as well. It would allow us to use any class we want with the racial that can help flesh out class builds in the future.
People really want a boring game where nobody plays anything but elves and doesn’t have to sacrifice a class option or racial for it eh?

You do get to choose your racial when you pick your race. This is technically a role-playing game, racials are part of the role you pick when you make your character.

All meaningful choices should be made immaterial right? Always some ripcord to be pulled that makes the game simplistic.

Literally everyone would pick Shadowmeld, Blood Fury or Berserking. Maybe some others I’m not thinking of but those are the three most impactful Racial CDs that come to mind.
I choose my race more on aesthetic than ability (all races have almost the same performance) but feel like that’s how the freedom to choose your own Racials would go.
Okay? Telling me that some other thing about the game sucks doesn’t make me want to see more sucky things (like choosing racials) implemented.

No thanks. Maybe Blizz could rework some races that have (mostly) useless racials, but letting people pick and choose defeats the purpose of having them at all.
I’m not the one complaining that this is a boring game.
I’m all for selecting your racials at this point. It’s not like this game is even balanced in the slightest.

Sounds good to me. Pick up the massively OP Human Diplomacy racial at the start of each patch, then respec out of it later.
I was actually hoping for Gnomes who could punch you across the map.
