You think classic should have a free trial kinda like how retail is? Say level 5 or 10.
Only you’d have to restrict a ton of stuff like unable to play PVP sever or people would just make free accounts and get on the other faction.

Classic is bonkers popular, they might do this in 1+ year.
Maybe, but they’d have to limit it to “new” servers. No way I, as a paying customer with a high level character, wants to wait extra longer in a queue and miss a raid because there is a free trial from someone taking up a spot who hasn’t paid a dime and who is not even guaranteed to play more than a day or two.

AFAIK the system by which they offered free trials was only for 7 days and that went the way of the dinosaur many years ago when they implemented the Starter Edition for Retail.
I am pretty sure it would literally be more work that it is worth to try to offer this in any capacity that is similar to how it was done in 2006.
Besides, WoW Classic is so good it doesn’t NEED a free trial.

True they might offer free weekends once it’s died down cause you wont get far in one weekend .
NOPE. A paywall to login is the ONLY thing that keeps a lid on gold spam. You take that off, then you open the flood gates for spammers. One option could be a referral from a paying account to allow another to trial the game. This means that there is still money on the line. If the free one was used to spam, they could suspend or ban the paying one as well.

Meh. I don’t think it’s necessarily needed. I think most people can get a general sense of what WoW is all about from the current trial.

Classic is FREE, to WoW players. I understand – you are asking for Classic to be available to people who don’t play WoW.

They should have a free trial up to level 20.
Getting to level 20 on retail takes like 40 minutes and should be increased to 120 with 24 hours /played at 120.

20 seems to high least for classic that’s like 20-40 hours for avg players
Well they wouldn’t be able to trade, or play on pvp sever,
its weird I tried to get people into classic and they mistakenly thought they could play to 20 for free, weird have blizzard had it presented with the combined subscription,
also had people try the retail game by mistake “but I want the newest version with the most stuff and best graphics” facepalm
But they will run around the cities /yelling
BUY GOLD AT BLAH BLAH BLAH DOT COM
I think free trials on lower* pop servers would be a great way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Classic is already free. We pay for retail, Classic is just a perk you get with an active subscription. So a “free trial” of free content would be a bit redundant.
