After a year off, I logged into my alliiance character on Faerlina to find there were below 100 active players. I get that there is a fee for character transfers, but in a case where you are pretty much forced to transfer in order to have any form of a chance in PVE, it should be offered free. It’d be cool to get back into the swing of things and get ready for lich, but to pay the $100+ to get my toons to a decent server, is insane. Even having to toss out an extra $25 (not a back-breaking amount of money, but it’s the principle) to move a main is enough to leave a sour taste about it.
When there are population imbalances, they offer free migrations to the low population. Offering free migrations away from the low population only exacerbates the situation. If you would like to suggest a migration to help your realm, you’ll need to post your thoughts in the Classic forum.
Beyond that, you are not forced to transfer. You can re-roll on any realm you choose for free.
I hear ya. Same deal for my Alliance on Whitemane. On a plus note though, the WPVP is off the charts!
Also, when I tried forming a group on Wednesday evening (maybe it was good timing), it only took 2 minutes to get a full dungeon group (I was tanking).
But yeah, I’ll check back here and there, but I don’t expect to play those characters anymore. As someone who probably won’t shell out the $25/char for transfers, I’ll probably either just reroll my allies, or play Horde for WotLK Classic and not look back.
