Has this always been a thing? I was only missing one piece of tier, wrapped up KSM for the mount last night, and got a token for my choice of a heroic tier piece?
KSM is super easy this season, so I’m wondering why there aren’t more posts highlighting this free tier piece, instead of asking for catalyst or loot mode changes for access to the same thing.

I finished KSM yesterday.
I can confirm it is an item that is turned in.
I believe you get one at 1600 pvp rating as well.
You turn it in at the weird little camp on the east side of the new cavern zone in a half broken building. The camp has a flight path. The NPC is in the northwest corner of the room.
Sorry dont remember the names of anything in that zone since there is almost nothing to due down there.
I plan to get mine this week.

you also get it for reaching a certain rating in pvp and getting AotC, it’s not just for M+
You don’t have to do keys to get this token. It’s award for season2 achiev and you can get it by either getting 2k score or killing Heroic Sarkareth. Though 2k is much easier to get
Oh yeah, should say too, there was a second category of reward available if you want high level PVP gear as well, forget the level though as I don’t PVP anymore.
There were lower level currency token trade in’s and a higher mythic level reward section too.
1600, Challenger II
You can hold onto it. There is a vendor by Aberrus that offers a piece of tier for it of your choice (1/5 on Heroic track). Usually best to wait until you get 3 other pieces before claiming because the second you buy chest piece you know it’ll be in your vault taunting you.
The system is good, albeit the numbers are a bit off as I would probably push it to 2200 which is most likely a closer comparison to AotC as 2000 is like all 14-15s or somewhere in there especially with how awful PUGing Sark has been for my Evoker.
