Free Flying for BfA Zones

Hi Blizzard!

So I was wondering if people who have completed their first levelling in BfA could have flying in those areas for free so they can better enjoy your game.

Thanks,
A Player

You can fly in BFA, just gotta grind out reputations, questlines, other stuff. Whatever pathfinder requirements are.

Or, now that “they” have completed their first levelling experience, and have unlocked the ability to level characters in other expansions, they should. Pick other expansions. WoD, specifically.

I think what they’re saying is a request for blizzard to cool it with the BfA pathfinder because it makes the game worse for new players.

which is true, lvl 30 flying means nothing when using it in the mandatory starter experience is locked behind pathfinder.

BFA’s levelling wasn’t built with flying as a requirement, like Northrend, BC, Dragonflight were. I recently watched a “first time player” series - OmarioRPGgaming Youtube - just outta curiosity. Came onto the youtube thing and I was like, huh why not. Guy started during Shadowlands, levelling in BFA and the new starting zone (which I haven’t personally done, so was nice to see) as a hunter. It took him nearly 30 levels and almost as many episodes of the series to figure out his pet had abilities.

Would flying have made his experience faster? Yes, undoubtedly. So would a paid boost. Would it have made it better? Not necessarily, possibly even worse.
If someone’s just looking to play a new account, maybe they’re just looking to race ahead to max level, it doesn’t take that long. Being locked to BFA sucks if you’ve already familiar with WoW, as does not having flying. I, personally, am bothered more than I should be by challenge mode teleports & mythic+ teleports not being account-wide.
For an actual new player though, it shouldn’t really matter. If it really bothers them that much, stick to instanced content. Flying doesn’t matter in dungeons/battlegrounds.

Ugh for me, that takes too much time

If choosing which expansion you’re gonna level in is “too much time” maybe MMOs aren’t the genre for you. Unless you’re referring to me saying “just get pathfinder”. Absolutely takes too long to be worth doing unless you’re a completionist (in which case the pathfinder grinds are literally NOTHING) or played during BFA. Which is why I said they should just pick another expansion, now that they can.

They cut the PF rep requirements in half and that apparently is still too much for ppl.

I could find myself potentially agreeing with if it weren’t for the fact that Horde and Alliance do not have an equal footing. With the exception of maybe Drustvar, Kul Tiras is fairly intuitively built.

Zandalar is a dumpster fire full of unnecessary inclines and ravines with the only saving grace being Vol’Dun. The capital is pain. Boralus looks like Dalaran in comparison.

Dazar’alor was designed to be a raid first and a capital last, and it shows. Our profession trainers are at the bottom left, our command table/war campaign quests are at the bottom docks, and everything else is near the top of the pyramid.

Honestly, I’d say give new players flying lvl 20 just for having to be in the vicinity of that monstrosity. After having played BfA when it was relevant and having achieved my pathfinder, I can say without a doubt that I think it (and a dishonorable mention to Nazjatar) is the most ground-unfriendly continent in the game.

Is this some argumemt against flying in BFA ?

Because you did the grind therefore others should as well?

You can go to Org or SW at a fresh level 30 and fly through all of Classic zones. Were they designed for flying ?

Its laziness and incompetence and mystifying stubborness on Blizzard’s part and people shouldnt be defending it or excusing it.

Can’t really disagree with that. Played horde in BFA. Any capital city that needs 2 flight paths is pretty horrible design, for gameplay at least.

Nazjatar isn’t a levelling zone, and brought with it flying, no? As for being the most ground-unfriendly continent… Try using a ground mount in dragon isles, and running around the zones. See how long it actually takes. Try doing storm peaks without a flying mount. Or netherstorm in outlands. Zulzadar’s pretty rough, I’ll grant you, but you said yourself Drustvar is the only alliance zone that’s “maybe” not good. Vol’dun is “the only saving grace” and personally I don’t think Nazmir (the Uldir zone, had to google name) was that bad without flying. Maybe the bit where you go down into Uldir, but definitely not the worst.

I support pathfinder being free for BfA and SL.

It was like 40hrs or more of work to get BfA pathfinder…that’s at lvl 70…at level probably going to be slower due to the elites all over you got to deal with in the 8.2 zones.

SL, absolutely trash chain of events for pathfinder, and I can see why so much hate for that xpac. At 70, its sort of easy but at 60 with bad gear, it would have been horrible and SLOWWWWW.

Once a new xpac comes out, the old ones should be “free” for stuff that makes you enjoy the game. If people still want to grind it, let them. Let new chars fly for free!

Blizz needs to stop acting like a bunch of stubborn children just because they didn’t get their way in WoD. It’s pathetic that they continue to punish the players out of sheer spite. Ion and Co are just coming across as a bunch of spiteful Devs, as much as they claim they aren’t, their actions say otherwise.

Allied races and pathfinder need to be unlocked. It’s been 6 years.
