You have to be kidding me!!! They are handing out free Fel Drake Mounts for the twitch drops. Why was this mount selected out of all the possible mounts available? These are worth MILLIONS of gold on the AH and thousands of dollars of real money.
On one hand I can totally understand wanting to give access to something that is hardly obtainable, but at the same point if everyone has a Ferrari then who cares? Part of having unique and rare items is a degree of prestige that comes with it.
If this is on the table why not start handing out old gladiator mounts as a random drop in battlegrounds, or purchasable for marks of honor?
This is a major slap in the face for anyone who saved up gold in game, paid real money, or was a TCG player who sought out this mount.

Are they going to give a BOE item for the Fel Drake or is going to go straight into your mount collection? Because if it is a BOE item, people who don’t care about the mount will just look to sell it on the AH.

There’s a difference between “rare” mounts just because scarcity and challenge mounts like Gladiator…

I think people who get defensive over things like this are annoying. It’s not a challenge reward, its not the scarab lord mount, it’s a tcg mount; and not even one of the rare ones.
Any time there’s a non-pvp mount with armor, these people love to whine about it, it’s stupid.

In general I think that mroe rewards need to be opened up.
You can farm MYthic raid appearances solo after 2 expansions. Open up the Gladiator Armor after the same amount of time. Just more to collect.

When I got the Loremaster achievement in wrath I was super happy and proud I had something rare and unique and prestigeous. It’s surprising how few people aim for it or go get it, especially before Cata.
Then in Cata they made it 100 times easier to get, and you could fly around while getting it. The title was the same - Loremaster. They didnt make it Cataclysmic Loremaster or anything like that, it was the same title. The same reward for different amounts of effort. Kind of upsetting but not the end of the world.
Then in retail I got the black and plague drakes, quite prestigeous. But now people can literally buy them.
I got full naxx40 gear on my hunter and mage back in vanilla, but you can now buy the full set of those old sets as well.
What’s the point? Blizzard doesn’t care and will give away your precious rare and prestigeous thing, nothing you say or do will change their mind. They don’t care.
