That’s not blizzard’s fault though. They can’t solve problems individually, it’s just a matter of bad luck that those respective realms can’t transfer to the same one.
How is it possible that Benediction is not transferring to Anathema?! That seemed like an obvious choice!
Well until that comes to pass, I will remain skeptical.
Layering wasn’t a part of Vanilla. It’s on its way out. Promoting raising pop caps is non sense.
You’re NOT being sensible.
They’re not making any more. They have made enough realms to fill ALL the realms to full by the time layering is gone.
The population NEEDS to spread out to achieve the goal of single layer. Players NEED to move if they want to avoid 15k+ queues when layering collapses.
Because people won’t listen, everyone was given ample time to move. The problem is with the player base that refuses to move, not really Blizzards problem. They’re not forcing everyone to stay on Herod…
All the realms should be high/full in 6 months to a year, on a single layer.
Oh boy here we go. They created too many servers and are now going to dilute the rest.
Well, I can see one good thing by diluting the servers…working toward removing layering.
Exactly
So I went to the EarthFury realm to check it out, its pretty dead. I currently would not transfer there at all versus staying on my current realm. I’ll check it again when its closer to the deadline to xfer.
I’m not really sure how we are so far apart on this concept, but this is the one thing I’d like to hear your answer on especially.
Can you explain why?
Are you aware of the progenitor projects that lead to Classic’s eventual interest having 30k+ people online at a given time?
What would you say is the key issue behind this, that is much better resolved by trying to trick people into leaving their extremely populated realm for a brand new realm with little established community on it?
Because that is not how Vanilla was. Vanilla didn’t have mega servers with 10k+ online at the same time.
Starting to think Blizzard doesn’t really know what they are doing anymore. Giving free transfers off realms that are not full…does not make sense.
They probably should not have open three new servers at once for these transfers. Should have done one at a time to see if one would fill up.
Check EF around 8pm est
They are more than “full”
When there’s only 1 layer on each, a “medium” pop realm with layers will have queues without layers.
Right but what is the actual issue with it?
A lot of things aren’t how Vanilla was, that doesn’t mean they are objectively worse.
Many of the original decisions were tech based, and no one actually knows any stats about population from either version, as they are not published.
So know what we do know, what would you say the problem is?
The problem is with your understanding ;
We’re getting Vanilla on a modern infrastructure.
Blizz is well aware that the majority of people who subbed specifically for Classic, did so on the promise that layering would be gone shortly after launch.
I know people who won’t sub until Blizz follows through with providing the Vanilla experience that includes no layering.
It’s really not difficult to understand that what we’re getting IS Vanilla on modern infrastructure.
Alright, so you aren’t going to answer the question then?
Have a good day!
I will have a most excellent day. Way better than a “good” day.
And I bid a most excellent day to you!
When they temove layers, Netherwind will be overcrowded now.
Exactly, so they shouldn’t allow more people transfering there.
The ‘healthy’ servers you reference still have hour+ queues. They’re still trying to get people off high pop servers
No, they shouldn’t. When Silverpine starts to look like Disney World, the game is really unenjoyable.
Some people like 200 people per zone. I don’t. Which is why I waited and rolled a low pop. Which is now going to be full.
