Would appreciate an update on the plan here, since it’s becoming increasingly apparent that people don’t want to risk transferring to a dead server, and mostly didn’t even before it was clear that that’s exactly what’s happening. I doubt it’s had any meaningful impact on the original problem, and now we have a brand new one for everyone that did move.
You are part of maybe like 0.0001% of Classic players who are against xfers
“this was too soon”
Tell that to the players who are still waiting 5 hours just to play
Sorry if this topic has been brought up , but why not funnel transfers to one server , fill it to appropriate capacity then open another new server. So instead we have multiple low pop servers? possibly for the duration of early content? Blizz wanted to avoid dead servers for other reasons but seemed to do just that by opening multiple servers and limiting where you can transfer to?
They were trying to maintain server types and timezones.
I assume the original concern was that it’d fill up so fast that people who were trying to move entire guilds and whatnot might not all make it, or not want to try because of that risk. I know people are still concerned about making transfers too fluid because it goes against the heart and soul of classic or whatever, but I don’t feel like any of these more rigid solutions are working at all. Between extremely limited communication, very little warning, and risking either leaving friends behind or ending up on a dead server without any kind of fallback, that probably shouldn’t be surprising anymore.
Hi Kaivax,
Could you provide guidance about how far over-capacity each “FROM” server is? I know you raised the limit once during launch, and eventually intend to collapse all layers to a single layer, which will probably also impact the number of concurrent players per server.
I find the current queues acceptable and like my current server, but I’m worried it will become unacceptable once these changes happen. I can’t make an informed decision about the future without this information.
I’m on Stalagg and the WoW Shop button hasn’t appeared for me in order to start a transfer to Heartseeker. My 4 friends have all transferred successfully and are able to play already, why is there no button for me? I can’t find anything that describes this issue and no solutions in any of the FAQ’s
Your such a gross player, unsub please if u feel that way. Good god, like who cares if ur first… who actually cares
Thanks for the free transfers!
Now… maybe… can we combine some of those over-flow servers so we have other players to play with?
I transferred last night and this realm is dead as hell. I really hope more make the move because as of right now, there isnt even a level 60 on arcanite reaper. How are people expected to do dungeons or raids if everyone is below level 20? lol there has to be another solution. Merge some smaller realms together or something.
I transferred to Arcanite Reaper as well. This is near unplayable. The chat is silent as the grave, AH has absolutely nothing, and I’ve been unable to group up for anything. They really need to merge 2 or 3 low pop servers.
@Kaivax I would like to transfer from Stalagg to Netherwind as I already have a larger guild with several friend all above level 20. There is no point in me going to heartseeker since all my friends already moved to Netherwind prior to free character migration? Can’t you let us pick the low pop server to move to?
I did a /who in org this morning and there were 4 people (arcanite reaper).
so scuffed that sucks, i transferred an alt off Faerlina onto Heartseeker to check it out first… needless to say i think ill resist transferring my main (only 27 but still) - and if queus die down in future and Heartseeker doesn’t pickup, well - the rest is obvious…
Heartseeker in it’s closed state seems to be about 2-3x the size of Earthfury during the same time. Everyone just needs to stop being too insecure about the smaller population right now. I see Elwynn forest continue to spike and drop most likely because each group of newcomers go through the same paranoia. Honestly think this server will be good but even if it’s not, I like the name enough to stay anyway.
People you need to think LONG TERM - These low Pop servers will be come full in no time
I’d wait it out. Names are more important to me than queue, and queue at this point (for Faerlina) has dropped from 6 hours to about 2. Give it another week and it’ll be reasonable, especially with others moving off.
You actually can’t be further from the truth if you are specifically talking about Faerlina. It will have huge queues whenever anything important involving the streamers happens on the server.
It might’ve been better to just wipe people when they transferred servers to reduce this dirty money and items from entering servers like our server netherwind. Perhaps this is drastic but would definitely reduce damage
Attention everyone who was crying for servers to move to so you could avoid the queues: Blizzard did what you asked and you got them!
Now sheddup and play, before they start ignoring the forum whiners altogether.
