Free Character Moves Coming Soon

Please do all the full servers… Stalagg first though :+1:t3::+1:t3:

So if we transfer to another realm with horde friends on it will there ever be the option to faction change also?

And did not help queue times back then …

Server transfers have been a long time thing. They were available in Vanilla. Faction transfers were never a part of Vanilla. So I doubt it.

Sounds good.

Almost all servers have queue times during peak times. Which server is the lowest population East Coast PvE/PvP server that people could transfer to, for example? I don’t know.

Read the part I quoted again. Note the plural usage in line one.

Select WoW realmS

from one of the most highly populated realms,

Just means more than one realm gets to get transfers, doesn’t say how many.

Not asking that. I am just bringing up that faction balance and where friends are is a factor when changing to other realms. Considering that this isn’t about purity but more about solving population density problems, and that it is based off of the retail platform, a faction change ONE TIME for those jumping realms would be a nice option. That would make a lot more choices.

I transferred from Burning Blade to Mug’thol in 2005. They were available and this exact situation occurred during vanilla

netherwind

it’s the newest server, opened a few days ago

they may open more servers if they see so many people wanting to transfer

Would have had to be planned in advance. Its easy to copy a character. It is not easy to faction transfer a character. It might be based on the current client, but it uses its own dataset. Don’t hold your breath on that one.

And it will be pretty bad if they allow people who have had extra leveling time to come on Netherwind and ruin the community building there.

Oh look, I was right again.

Wonder where all the people that said this was never going to happen are?

Bit slow on the uptake Blizz, but a good move nonetheless.

coulda just be as devastating to the original server

Oh god, thank you very much Blizzard.

This is very much appreciated.

I figured this would be coming, posted it a few times in the discord.
Im not sure how they will determine it but i don’t think Kromcrush will be one of the “highly populated” servers that people can switch off of. It does have a queue at peak times, but its very short (usually about 15-30 minute) - which i cant complain about. The community is great on this server and i welcome any newcomers and wont mind an extra 15 minutes in queue - but this is to combat the hype train dying so it wouldn’t shock me if our queue vanishes.

My point is that if they are going to do this then they’d be better off opening up a completely new server or two and allow transfers there. That’s the best of both worlds.

A low pop realm is 4x the amount of popularity that a vanilla server was while locked in 2004. Get over it. You will survive.

My Alliance bruddahs, come to Kromcrush! Pretty good server so far. When I logged on at peak last night I was only 3k in line and only took me about a half hour to get in. Populated server but not overly populated and there’s only really a queue between 6pm-10pm-ish
