So I wonder if this is real? I haven’t saw a thread on this yet and I just scrolled down the forums a bit. If there is one I missed, sorry in advance. This article is on Wowhead Classic. If this is real, guess I’m not sure what I think about this. Here it is:

Yes it’s real. Wowhead is not fake news, unlike some other media outlets
Yeah, I know that Wowhead typically has accurate information. But many in the game seem to think it’s fake, especially since Blizzard hasn’t announced this to us here yet.
Just wondering if this is some information they got that’s not quite accurate since it really hasn’t been confirmed. Every now and then Wowhead even gets things wrong. But I do know Wowhead is normally legit and don’t go spreading false information. But they do sometimes post things before they are confirmed.
It says wow Brazil in the article. Would be posted there, I don’t think it applies to us. It’s possible it’s posted in their forums

Makes me wonder if they will do that for us though. Guess I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I don’t care really. But on the other, I would hate to see people playing Classic that doesn’t really want to play but feel they need to do it begrudgingly for a free boost or expansion.
Eh, time will tell I guess.
I think it’s a good thing for both bfa and classic. More players would try both and possibly both would grow. I was kind of shocked to see it too, but after thinking about it, I feel the downsides are minimal, and the potential for both versions of the game to grow are good.
Only time will tell though, if it works out well in Brazil maybe it will work well in other regions in the future
Yeah, from a marketing standpoint it makes good sense. I suppose this would be their way of allowing Classic players to try out the latest retail content that’s not included with a sub.
After thinking on it more, my main concern initially was that people who play retail would feel they have to play Classic to get the expansion and free boost. But, I’m sure the majority already have BfA, which comes with a free boost as it is.
I’m sure there are those who would do this on an extra account though like they do recruit a friend. I guess my worry is people who have zero interest in Classic would be trying to get Blizzard to change it to become quicker just to get that reward at the end. As long as Blizzard wouldn’t give in, all would be good.
It makes economical sense.
Someone who stays long enough for 60 would probably stay long enough in retail if they tried it and liked it to at least equal buying the xpac.
i.e. they are gonna make the money back on subs.
If I already have BfA will I still get the boost?
I’m really not sure honestly how it will work if they do end up doing this. They did delete the promotion from WoW’s Brazil Facebook page though. So either they put this up way too soon or it was a mistake in general.
I half expect to see this promotion to pop up in the coming months, but could be wrong. I suppose if it does end up happening, we will get more details.
Not to necro a thread, but I hit 60 last night, had BfA already and didn’t get a boost. So I guess not.
Pretty sure the promotion only was given to Brazilian players.
But it does suck that NA players don’t get same promotion.

Make it 120 boost then it’s worth discussing. You still have to get 10 levels after the boost before you get to the actual game. I know for some that’s simply unbearable.

LOL. See the word Classic there? It means it is related to people playing Classic to get BfA. Sorry to burst your bubble, snuggle snuffle boo.
And you don’t have classic avatar to prove you playing classic? And why would they in any mean possibly reward a 60 dollar boost for playing a side game, are people that dumb
