Frame Rate fix (temporary?) in Tazavesh

There is something absurdly punishing about the blue flame effect from the braziers in Tazavesh on even powerful systems. Turning compute effects from Ultra to High doubled my frame rate when those things are in view.

Thank you, this was the fix I needed! Bumping comp effects down one tic solved the framerate drop

Further exploration has shown me that simply toggling off “Optional GPU features” and then toggling it back on accomplishes the same thing.

My compute effects is LOW.
Cuz I still wanna see fog/clouds etc… but I also need to see clear for raiding.

I always strongly recommend setting compute to low because it’s a performance hit for no good reason in so many places in game. only reason you can’t turn it off is as said above you lose ability to see weather and that breaks game immersion.

I keep compute as high as possible because i play without Outline effects on, and the sparklies are virtually invisible unless you have compute effects cranked up.

On a side note, you should set Particle Density to High even if you set Compute Effects to Low else you can barely see the weather effects.

weather intensity is controlled by a hidden cvar that’s linked to particle effects, but you can adjust it manually via console.

I believe Leatrix Plus (or some other addon) allows me to make those adjustments independently and keep it saved.
