This War Campaign quest is being buggy. I tried disabling all add-ons, reloading, abandoning and accepting the quest again, but every time I entered the ‘vehicle’ none of the buttons did anything. I was able to move, and the mobs for the quest did phase in, but I had no means to kill them. After abandoning and restarting it a number of times, it randomly started working in the background while I was tabbed out writing this post. I saw a couple goblins around me randomly die and hopped back in to finish it up. I’m not sure what happened, but it doesn’t feel like a UI issue on my end.

I am also having this issue. I also disabled all addons, abandoned the quest, closed the game, restarted and still the issue persists.
EDIT: like the OP while I was typing this some goblins around me died and then the abilties worked for a short while, but not long enough to finish the quest.

i did all the above, then when i tabbed out to look this up it seemed to all come good. possibly just needs to load the millions of goblins??

I am also having this issue, tried all these suggestions and still nothing. Couldn’t even leave the vehicle.
I tabbed out for about 5 minutes or so to look it up and it was working for me aswell

Hi everyone, the same bug for me!
But in my 7th try I continue walking down the beach with the lava monster and started killing the quest goblins!
Try just walking deeper on the beach

Can confirm this seemed to work. Once I walked all the way to the far side of the beach it would start to work randomly, and if I got to close to the beginning it kicked me out.
Chiming in to confirm, its still broken in the same way, and the workaround of travelling further into the goblin beach does seem to fix the issue.
I was doing this quest as my warlock and experienced this same glitch, I tabbed out to find an answer but when I tabbed back I noticed that my demon was dying, and sure enough, as soon as he died it started working, maybe dismiss any companions before you start it.
You just have to wait a bit (about 3 minutes fir me) I think it just takes time to load

Had the same issue today, was resolved by the same work around
same issue
11/26/2021 quest still broken logged, abandoned, no results. So then I just stood then randomly the abilities procted. Seems like its a loading issue. Ill try to finish the quest this way and respond then.
EDIT: After the game randomly casted the abilities i was able to use everything normally. So i Guess when you first get the quest cast a few times then wait standing still for the game to catch up then you should be able to move forward.

I can also confirm that this worked for me for some reason when you get to the far side of the beach it starts working thanks for the help.
So its 2022 and this is STILL broken 2 years after original post… at least you can wait around for it to “start”
