Fractured spark of omens, what is it for?

i have plenty of these but not sure what are use for

cant find many good information either

what are they for ?

You combine two of them to make a Spark of Omens by right clicking them (uses 250 valorstones). Sparks are necessary to craft epic items, such as the Consecrated Cloak/robe/leggings in tailoring. They aren’t used in PvP however, the Algari Competitor items use Heraldries instead of sparks, making Sparks useful only for PvE items.

You use crests to upgrade it up to 636 - that is the base craft with no enchanted crest in it

The items they make go up to 606 at maximum quality. You can use enchanted gilded or enchanted runed harbinger crests to bring them up to 636 maximum, which is equivalent to Myth 5/6. You can also use embellishments to give unique on-equip effects to these items, and customize their stats using missives.

You can turn 60 gilded crests into a Nascent crest at the enchanting vendor in Dornogal, then enchant that with a few other mats. If you aren’t an enchanter, you can place a work order at the artisan’s consortium in Dornogal.

Runed is the same principle, except it is only 45 crests for a max ilvl of 619, and there are 5 that can be obtained from quests. Specifically, the raid questline that opens up story mode Ansurek gives one, as do the renown 24 quests with all 4 factions.

It is a process that blizzard overcomplicated just because. Id suggest looking up a crafting order guide because I am not the best at explaining stuff but:

You do dungeons/raids/world content for the various crests. Each difficulty will award different crests. If you go under your currency tab you should see where each crest drops from, also the gear upgrade npc should also show you the various crests and where to get them. The npc beside the gear upgrade person can also trade up crests to higher level version if you dont need the lower crests, or you can trade down if you cant use the higher crests. Id suggest checking this npc out , if you were playing for some time you might be able to swap a bunch of lower level crests for higher tier crests. If you can get the gilded crests and make the item at 636 with the enchanted gilded crest it will save you a bunch of recrafting, gold, and matts down the road.

Once you have so many crests you exchange them at the enchanting vendor in dorn for the Nascent Version ( which you then have someone enchant to be ready for crafting ).

Then you go to the crafting order person at the gold hammer icon In Dorn just right of the auction house area. Look up the enchanted version of whatever crest you are trying to make in the search ) Go get the LOWEST QUALITY matts to make it, bug an enchanter to make the enchanted crest for you. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE LOWEST QUALITY MATTS FOR THE ENCHANTED CRESTS, as it doesn’t matter for the outcome.

Once you have that go back to the crafting order place ( gold hammer icon in dorn ). Then you look up the item you want crafted. Go get those matts and the missive to pick w/e stats you want. If you dont have embellishments yet you can check out in the crafting order menu or from class guides which are your best 2 and buy one of those to add to it too. Always ask for max rank and always use the highest tier materials for everything associated with the actual item.

At the bottom of the crafting order for the final item you should have a slot to put the enchanted crest, stat missive, and embellishment item in, the type of enchanted crest and the craft rank will change the item’s level. Gilded crests will make it 636 if the crafter can make it at max rank.

You can also buy embelishment items from the a/h and add 1 embellishment to a crafted item, you can have 2 total embelishment items, but as many crafted items as long as you have the sparks to make it.

Have someone craft it while you seethe because this whole system is overcomplicated and has too many steps. Dont feel pressured to pay out the buns for high level crafts, but be fair I guess. It’s end season almost and most people probably dont need to use concentration anymore or dont run out as often.

Spam trade to find crafters, dont use public orders unless you dont care about ranks. You CAN use public orders and lowest tier matts to make the various enchanted crests though if you aren’t in a hurry.

Hope this helps xD

Crafting is the only use I have found for them.

That is the only use. They are for crafting PvE epics.

and blizzard considers this EASY and “common sense”… yet its hidden behind so much explaining… overcomplicated for NO reason or function… just a way to “justify” their job…whoever is the one that created this “system” is a trash dev.

I really think they should remove the need to have nascent crests enchanted entirely. Have the crest exchange NPC ( dracthyr beside the item upgrade NPC ) exchange x of each crest for the ready to go enchanted versions.

( don’t hate me enchanters :3 )

Why do you think only enchanters can do this vs having an NPC do it commission-free?
