Just bought a new computer, but I’m having a lot of issues with lagging and FPS. One second I’ll run 70fps the next I’m sitting at literally 5fps. And this is playing wow on the lowest graphic settings(1)
Seems a bit ridiculous. The current specs I have are i7 7700 64 bit. With a intel HD 630 integrated graphic card. I haven’t bought a dedicated card to put in yet, but at this point I’m wondering if it would even help? I’m spending a lot of time on loading screens and having a lot of issues with the FPS changing.
My graphic driver is up to date, and I’ve been looking around for things online to help, but have found much that has actually been helpful.
Hey, did you ever find a resolution to this issue?
I have a top-end custom built gaming rig, and same thing happened to me. Lots of searching around, even thought it might be a hardware failure, turns out it was Windows 10 throwing out a really sh1tty auto update, caused issues with most if not all my PC games.
I’d recommend trying for the latest update push, which seems to have corrected the problem thus far. I will note however that this problem also popped up the same time Blizzard patched the game to allow DX12, even though I stuck with DX11, this combined with a bad Win10 patch were likely the culprits.
I spent a good week trying to get this resolved, and had a thread for it on the help forum as well.
